Depending on what type of job you're applying for, invest in some actual resume paper. You can get it in several shades but I've head the suggestion of off-white/cream. White is a bit too harsh but never anything like blue/pink (even though I have seen resume paper on both).

Plain white paper but a good quality paper. Remember it's the information on the paper that you want to come across as impressive.

I have used white or off-white. I would also suggest printing it on a little thicker paper. So it doesn't get stuck together with other people and it will seem more professional

I wouldn't use regular white paper. Use Parchment paper. It looks REALLY professional. White paper is very unprofessional.
Parchment paper is thicker and it has pieces of other paper in it. Alot of them are on the tan side.

They aren't very expensive.

I would use an light beige color just so it stands out from the rest but still looks professional.
