Yes, I dreamed of it all my life so I did it. I got a job on a cruise ship. It took 8 years but I got all the way around the world. I visited almost every country that touches water and a few inland as well. I lived, worked, and played with people of all nationalities. I learned that the USA really is the best country in the world. I knew that foreigners (even our official allies) hated America long before 9/11 so it was less of a shock to me. I also spent a lot of time in countries where terrorism is a daily occurrence so I knew that life just goes on and you can't let it affect how you live your life.

Someone told me that for about $10,000 you can get an around-the-world plane ticket you can take up to a year to use to fly all over the place, so I started dreaming it up. I'd probably start in the winter in South America (I want to see Chile and Brazil--Argentina is getting more interesting too), then fly over to Europe (I'd have to hit Amsterdam, and a few others--London, Madrid, and southern Italy look fun). If I decide I have to hit the Middle East, I'd probably pick Egypt--Israel might be fun too. I'd like to see India or Pakistan, but I could easily leave them off the list if I don't have enough time.

Then I'd return home, and a few months later (in the summer) finish the second half of the world. Start in Sydney (oooh, maybe sould've ended the winter trip there), pick a few islands to hit on the way to southeast asia (I've got to see Tahiti--to find out if the legends still hold true) and make sure I stop in Thailand and Korea. I'd be interested to see Singapore, but wouldn't want to stay long--I'm curious to see a culture where good manners are often written into law, to see if it is too restrictive of freedom or if it is more pleasant to be a tourist in a land of clean bathrooms. Then a quick stop in Japan and on to Hawaii. After relaxing there, if it is summer, I'd finish the trip up with Alaska, San Diego, and Puerto Vallarta.

Yes, but not all in one trip. It would be too overwhelming, and you wouldn't be able to fully experience and appreciate the uniqueness of each destination.

At the very least I'd love to visit every continent. I've "done" Europe, Africa, and North America, and am going to Asia next year.

But of course the big dilemma when you're planning a trip is whether to go somewhere you've never been before, or revisit a place you loved.

While most people are simply satisfied to dream it, I have every intention to DO it...

Currently, I'm done a study abroad in Guanajuato, MX and am not currently teaching English to little Korean students (btw, I'm not even a licensed teacher... simply a native speaker with a BA). After this I plan to get my Masters in Brisbane, Australia.

After that, I plan to take my mom on a little tour of France and Spain, considering she learned French growing up and I learned Spanish, it makes since. Down the line, I will visit Italy, Greece, Argentina and Chile, though traveling and being a journalist will most likely take me to many more places...

Only real trouble with travel: for some reason most guys can't handle the whole long-distance, globe-trotter thing... meh, c'est la vie, as they say ;)

My perfect trip would include every continent including Antarctica. I would want to at least visit the capitol city of every country on in the world. I guess because this is a dream, I would have an unlimited amount of time.
