Aww..pooor pup! I think that your pup are scared and become very aggresive after the incident. I think you should report to the police about loose dogs in your neighbourhood. The dogs are not surpose to be out in the neighbourhood unless they have a leash on with the owner of the dog. Its dangerous and accident do happen all the time.
Am not an expert about dogs. Maybe you should go to the Pet store like Petsmart or your vet and ask them to give you advise about your pup behaviour towards larger dogs.
Good luck :-)

i had the same thing happen to my dog years ago and after that fate-full day he would always give other dogs a dirty look and snap often at them, a friend suggested taking him to a dog training school .... i did and the end result was miraculous, the first few times were difficult twice a week for 3 months was alot of work but we both really enjoyed it thoroughly and learned alot about other dogs as well as each other, so try a dog training school ;)

Poo Lovr is correct. The same hapened to one of my dogs, and she was terrified of other dogs. She used to love all other dogs, but then She was attacked by a pit bull.
I took her to the beach, and watched to make certain all other dogs were friendly, and then took her out to meet them from a distance lke 20 feet away... As I explained to the owners what I was doing, they were very helpful in letting their dog just be near my dog for a few minutes. One lady even made an appointment to meet me each evening there, with her 2 fun loving dogs.
It took about 3 weeks, but she began playing with the others, as she would see them having fun.
Now, she is just a bit leary, but not terrifed, and has many doggy friends.
I always walk her away from any approaching dog that appears unfriendly, as I don't want her to be even growled at again.

You should take him to a vet and ask for an expert's advice first.
My personal advice would be to slowly introduce him to a bigger dog, but very, very slowly. If he shows no sign of giving in or shows signs of becoming more aggressive, you will probably need to either put him down so he doesn't endanger anyone or anything or keep him inside and away from other dogs.

Have you evet watched the show Dog Whisperer? Most of the time, he confronts smaller dogs with larger ones and is not afriad to discipline them.

you can send him to an obedience trainer, for him to be good to other dogs, or you can get a very understanding and calm dog, that looks different than the dogs he was attacked by. it will take alot of your attention tho, you have to be careful greeting them. good luck!!!!

You need to keep your dog safe indoors or in a safe area so he isn't under threat. Longer term, you need to take him to obedience training so as to learn not to challenge bigger dogs.
