The quickest way is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohal, and sodas.
Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.
In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits contain natural sugars, and that can put on weight)
Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.
Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)
Go exercise for at least an hour a day, incorporating weight training. Weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition.

You have to maintain a high metabolic rate. The way I do that is to eat 5 to 6 small meals a day.
I make a protein shake for breakfast with frozen fruit, soft tofu, milk and whey.
I pack a lunch box with the following ingredients and eat them in these groups:
1. 3/4c almonds or peanuts and a banana
2. a sandwich with whatever I want on it, tomato and one other piece of fruit (apple, orange, peach, nectarine, strawberries)
3. 1-2 c milk and 1 serving of whey powder
4. a bagel with cream cheese and 2 boiled eggs
I take all of this to work and make sure I eat every bit of it throughout the day. Being in the nat'l guard, you may not have enough breaks to eat this way, but if you can, you will lose some weight. Especially if you train heavily.
I have been doing this for about 16 weeks now. My waist has shrunk an inch or more from 32 to 31 and my abs are becoming more defined everyday.

Pec flies are good for the chest. As for the stomach, I know this is gonna sound gay, but PILATES!!!!! I have never seen something do the trick more than this, even for guys!!! Almost EVERY exercise works your entire core (being your midsection) and pilates makes your muscles lean, not too bulky. Also, if you don't want to do that, add a dumbbell (5lbs on up) to your crunches. Weight resistance burns more fat! Good luck!

Drop your calories and drink plenty of water. You will need to maintain light weight training to prevent muscle loss but you don't want to add muscle right now if you need to not gain any weight. 10 pounds in two weeks means at least a 36,000 calorie deficit. Your probably going to feel pretty week too. And if your close, you can try a diuretic to expel some water.

Yeah, eat healthy and exercise! there is no fast way out! Its not like there is a button you can push and suddenly your perfect! Trust me, I've looked for a fast way out. However, there is a shorter way........protein shakes. You can buy the powder, then just put it in a blender with some fruit and milk and ice. Its not too tasty, but if you exercise right after, you should get the fat trimmed down and the muscles buffed up!
