I could do it. I'd just spend lots of time digging and building pointless stuff while chatting with the voices in my head. ;)

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

Absolutely. Yes, time would seem to pass by much more slowly, thus 30 days may seem like an eternity to some in this situation, while it may be paradise to others, since they are away from their usual day-to-day rat-race activities. As long as the 4 persons are not confined exclusively to the hut, it would be rather wonderful to be cooled by the sea breeze as the rythmic waves lull one to sleep. As for general survival and daily living, it would be just as wonderful to devise handcrafted manual gadgets, such as fans, cooking utensils, and countless other implements to enhance life without electronics. The four could enjoy conversation, cooperation, and peaceful, individual contemplation. That idiotic "Survivor" mentality would not come into play, because this situation is not a competitive game driven by greed and power. The original scenario stated by the question would be rewarding in itself.

Of course electronic gadgets are over rated. I'm not on a deserted island but sometimes you just have to turn everything off to relax.

Yes! I think that it would be allot like camping out. When I go camping I have to use out houses, wash my clothes in the stream, take cool baths, and sit around camp fires. It can be done in the winter as well as the summer, but it is a heck of allot colder. If you have anyone in mind lit me know as I would love to be one of four people on a deserted island.
