No! Even secular history has recorded the crucifixion of Jesus.
Pontius Pilate wrote a letter to Caesar after Jesus Christ was crucified and rose from the dead. The letter was found by a man named Rev WD Mahan at the Vatican in Rome, Itlay. This letter was reproduced in a book Rev Mahan wrote in 1887 titled "The Archko Volume". The excertps quoted below are from the Archko Volume on pages 141, 142, 145, 147 and was written in a book titled, "The Genesis Factor" written by Yacov Rambsel on pages 102, 105-106.
Excerpts from Pontius Pilate's letter to Ceasar recorded in the Archko Volume:
Describing the mob at the crucifixion (pg 141):
"Often in our civil commotion have I witnessed the furious anger of the multitude, but nothing could be compared to what I witnessed on this occassion. It might have been truly said that all phantoms of the infernal regions had assembled at Jersulam. The crowd appeared not to walk, but to be borne off and whirled as a vortex, rolling along in living waves from the portals of the praetorium even unto Mount Zion, with howling screams, shrieks, and vociferations such as were never heard in the seditions of the Pannonia, or in the tumults of the forum."
Describing the great noise and darkness at Golgotha (142):
"A loud clamor was heard procedding from Golgotha, which, borne on the winds, seemed to announce an agony such as was never heard by mortal ears. Dark clouds lowered over the pennacle of the temple, and setting over the city covered it with a veil. So dreadful were the signs that men saw both in the heavens and on the earth that Dionysius the Aerogagite is reported to have exclaimed, 'Either the author of nature is suffering or the universe is falling apart.'"
Pilate quoting Ben Isham, a sentry at the tomb (145):
"He said that at about the beginning of the fourth watch they saw a soft and beautiful light over the sepulchre. He at first thought that the women had come to embalm the body of Jesus, as was their custom, but he could not see how they had gotten through the guards. While these thoughts were passing through his mind, behold, the whole place was lighted up, and their seemed to be crowds of the dead in their graveclothes. All seemed to be shouting and filled with ecstasy, while all around and above was the most beautiful music he had ever heard; and the whole air seemed to be full of voices praising God."
Pilate's concluding remarks (146):
"I am almost ready to say, as did Manlius at the cross, 'Truly this was the Son of God.'"

Ok but first 23-26 of what chapter? But to answer one of your questions. No Jesus was the only one put on the cross. They where affraid of Jesus and said to believe that he was not the son of God. In Matthew 28-5 it says ; And the angel answered and said unto the woman, Fear not ye:for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.6) He is not here : for he has risen, as he said. Come and see the place where the Lord lay. I hope this helps some. Luke 23:26 says, "And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus."
It was a shame to have to carry the cross for a condemned man, but the Romans took an out of town guy and compelled him to do it. I wonder how Simon came to feel about it in later life. Was he a convert? Did he learn to realize what a great honor he had been given? He carried the cross for Jesus. He performed a service for our Lord in his hour of need.
The record leaves no doubt that it was Jesus who was crucified for us. Perhaps Simon came to wish that he could have been crucified for Jesus. Millions have come to love Jesus so much that they would have died for him on the cross, if Jesus had asked them to. Like the story told in the song, "A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief."

Sure, anything's possible. It's possible that Jesus wasn't crucified at all...after all, God come down from Heaven, grab a legal pad and write the Bible. It was written by men. Ever play a game of telephone? Same thing applies here. Story changes.

Does it have to be someone with a smart mouth? I think that Luke23:38 sums it all up! Jesus was actually crucified, no one took his place.

Jesus had been beaten with a cat of nine tails which ripped the flesh from his body. He had lost a lot of blood and was very weak. The cross that he carried weighed over 100 pounds. Simon just happened to be there and the Roman Soldiers just snatched him out of the crowd and made him help Jesus carry the cross.

you're asking a lot of questions. i'm going to do my appropriate to help. Any time you interpret Scripture, you may desire to look on the context. Jesus has already face Pilate and has been brutally overwhelmed and been given a crown of thorns, Mark 15:sixteen-40 seven. all of the gospels are complementary. they permit you to be certain distinctive perspectives of the same activities, given you a extra holistic information of Scripture. Luke wasn't even there, he wrote the gospel of Luke after doing huge learn and interviewing those that knew Jesus and had witnessed the activities of life. No there is not any genuine way Simon might desire to be flawed for Jesus. Secondly, you may desire to renowned who Simon is, Simon Peter is quite the guy referenced. Simon and Peter are the same. It grew to become into Peter that decrease off the severe Priest's ear John 18:10 and interior the subsequent verse Jesus healed the Priest. apart from Jesus have been coaching everywhere in the rustic and interior the synagogues. thousands of human beings have been following him. actual everyone knew what he gave the impact of. And no the place do I study that Jesus grew to become into an albino. The Bible speaks for itself in case you permit it. seem at issues in context and which will help particularly.

That verse tells of the man Simon that was selected to carry the cross for Jesus because Jesus couldn't carry it any longer.
Has nothing to do with what you suggest. But, as the entire thing is a work of humans and is fallible, contradictory, and just plain wrong, I wouldn't worry about one little verse.

Jesus wasn't crucified. He died on a stake. Like a big telephone pole. Worship of the cross came from pagan civilizations like the Egyptians. It is a symbol of fertility. And people worship the cross, or use it in their worship. That is idol worship. And that is something that God commanded us not to do. We only worship Him. No one or no-thing else.
