Yes, I get the knife and chop the head off of the person who cut off mine. They'll start running and I would chase them out of the yard and run them into the house, where I would chop off the head and then spend the remainder of my short, headless life pouring pudding into my neck to eat it!!!!!
I LOVE PUDDING!!!!!!!

I wouldn't. Yes I would want to be put out of my mysery. I dont think they feel anything once the head is gone. Its just the nerves in the chickens body reacting.

Actually there was one farmer who cut the head off his chicken and it didn't die. In fact there was enough of the brain stem left to keep it alive. The farmer would feed it corn down the opening. It stayed alive for 9 days before it died from choking on a peice of corn.

Someone already said the right answer, about the chicken not feeling pain after it loses its head and the movement just being due to the action of the nerves in it's body.

However, if you worry about chickens maybe you should read this poem by The Meececat. I just found it on here in answer to a question which asked "Who is sick of poetry?ME?" - it's brilliant!! Here is the link..

Hope you enjoy it, I did!!

The reason they do that is because of the nerves that are still functioning. If you let it go it will stop eventually, but you may not find it too easily.
