and now she, Tigger Ann, isnt her normal self. She is scared of me. I feel horrible. I really thought I was doing the right thing for her but she just isnt herself. What do I do?

Of course she's upset with you! She had a rough time & can't know it was for her own good. Give her a couple of days to forget about that and remember you are her loving friend. She'll settle down.

You did the right thing. Spaying/neutering cats is a must. If you didn't, and Tigger Ann got pregnant, who would take care of all the kittens? And don't worry, mood changes are common.

Because you took her to the "bad place" and she is associating you with the pain. You were doing the right thing, even though she doesn't think so at the moment. Give it time and she will forget about it and love you again. Well, until the next time you take her to the vet and then it will start all over again. Maybe next time you put her in a carrier or the car too.

You did the the right thing. She needs to stay current on shots and if you don't want kittens around then spaying was the way to go. Maybe she is just afraid you'll take her back there. If it was just done she may be a little sore and want to be left alone.

This is normal especially in cats, they don't like to be around us when they aren't feeling well. You did do the right thing, you reduced her chances of cancer. She will bounce back in a few days, just give her time. When you do go to pet and rub her, hold your hand to the side of her and not directly in front of her as to not to show a threat. My kitties were peed off at everybody and everything for about a week and then they came around. Just be gentle in giving her attention, they love chin rubs and ear rubs right now after surgery.

Give her time to adjust. I take my cat to the vet once a year for shots and she acts strange for a couple of days. If it doesn't change within a week, I would call your vet and let them know. Good Luck

Was this her first time to the vet? If so, it seems to me that she trusted you and by you taking her to the vet and leaving her alone broke that trust and she's just a little frustrated with you. Don't worry though, give it some time and she should be back to normal. Just pamper her a little more then usual. She'll know your sorry.

A lot of pets act that way when you take them to the vet. Our cats were freaked out for a couple days when we took them in to get their shots. They'll get over it and return to their normal selves soon. (usually anyway)

Just keep being friendly, don't get upset with her, don't chase her around trying to get attention. She'll turn around when she's ready.

Give her time. She's just remembering that you took her there. Just treat her gently for awhile and she should come back. But the next time you take her to the Vet it's gonna happen again.
