One of those undeniable proofs is? The problem of arguing creation vs. evolution, is that you may as well be arguing the virtues of apples vs. space travel. The concepts are not mutually exclusive, or antithetical in any way. Faith, as the christian bible defines it, is "the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things unseen." (Hebrews 11:1). Evolution, while a valid theory, still needs a lot of hole filling, and is far from proven. Especially macroevolution as far as speciation is concerned. That doesn't mean it won't turn out to be true someday, but for now blind faith in a 150 year old unproven theory is no sillier than blind faith in a religion that's thousands of years old. People who've placed their faith in their church instead of the educated guesses of science, would naturally need hard proof to change their views, and a lot of it. That isn't hypocritical, it's common sense. After all, what would it take to change your mind?
Wikipedia currently has an excellent article on what the christian concept of faith is, which may help you understand where these people are coming from when you're talking to them.

There are proofs for creation, or at least for a young universe (less than 10,000 years old). For example, they only found a small layer of space dust when they landed on the moon. They were expecting several feet after millions of years. The magnetic field of the earth is slowly weakening. If you go back a million years, the magnetic field of the earth would have been greater than that of a star and the field of the sun would be enough to absorb the entire system. Another proof: comets. There is no proof for where they came from, and the life of a comet is only about 10,000 years.
The Bible itself is evidence. No other book has survived unchanged the way the Bible has. We're less sure about what exactly Homer and Shakespeare wrote than we are about what's in the Bible. If you'd read the Bible, you'd see that there is science in it, and it doesn't contradict either.
I see your point about hypocrisy, but I have yet to see an undeniable fact of evolution. Creation has plenty to back it up, but as the Bible says in Hebrews 11:3 - "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are see were not made of things which do appear." Understanding comes only through faith.
I personally believe it takes a lot more faith to be an evolutionist than to be a creationist.
Speaking of the fossil record, seashells have been found on top of mountains. How does that happen? Maybe a worldwide flood as recorded in Genesis...
I hope I've given you something to think about, but there are many scientific evidences for a young earth.

How do you go about believing the evolution theory with no evidence? Creationism and the Bible just make more sense. Any thinking, reasoning individual would come to that conclusion, unless you are not really looking for the truth. In that case, if you wanted to live without rules, without logic, without anyone with whom to be accountable, evolution is a good belief for you. That way you can do whatever you want and not feel badly about it, right? 2 Tim. 3:1-5 says that in the last days men would be lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God. That is exactly what is going through the minds of those who believe in evolution.

The Bible happens to be the most proved and documented book of all time in the world. Everything that has been found that would date back to biblical time has been proven. It sounds like you have not done alot of research on this topic and you are just looking for some arguments... A good book for you to read is, Darwins Black Box. Start there, and by the way the fossil trail has no proof of evolution. Even the scientific community is now coming forward and stating that some of there information is now proven wrong. For example, the information and machine they use to date things, like rocks, lava, and fossils. It has been proven that the are not acurate at all. Good luck on your search.

Non-believers in evolution are non-believers only because they are believers in Creationism. They will deny and dismiss any evidence whatsoever of the reality of evolution, mangle the language of science into their own definitions, and cry "Anti-Christian" when they don't get their way.
They also don't get it that you don't prove that the Bible is accurate by citing the Bible. They think it proves itself by itself. And there are quite a few, to say the least, who know nothing about how the Bible came to be the Bible as we have it today, know nothing about the fact that what are today's doctrines are the result of fighting and debate and secular edict.
Evolution is a major scientific fact that has a major impact on the Fundamentalist Christian doctrine of Biblical Inerranacy. Nothing could threaten their received view more, and they have demonized evolution even beyond its specific implications for the Creation story. They make it the root of all evil, and declare believers in evolution are stupid, evil, lazy, licentious persecutors of Christians.
There is no real discussion with them about evolution's reality. They do not have the mental capacity to rectify their religious views as knowledge advances, because they are reliant upon their particular religious sects' worldview to cope with life.

I am a Christian who questions a lot. Some people believe in the Bible b/c they're taught to from birth. Some people are searching for something "better" than themselves to believe in b/c their lives are a wreck. Most Christians believe you have to accept one or the other (being evolution or God) but they do so on FAITH. Kind of like you have FAITH that you're gonna wake up tomorrow and go about your daily routine, but the fact is, tomorrow is never promised. Don't know if I answered your question or confused you more.

No. Evolution still has missing pieces. There are not undeniable proofs when dealing with scientific fact, as even science acknowledges it can not prove "big bang", and Darwins jumping point is still the "missing link".
Whats more, whether it is evolution, or creationism, both are taken on faith. Evolution put faith theories that are still missing "proof", and creationists put faith in theory that is still missing "proof".
(I know, I know, science has pr oven adaptation of species, evolution of species, I got it. I dont dispute that, but remember, the Bible never says things can not adapt and change. Proving the very starting points of evolution, life from nothing, or human from ape, and the core basis, has not been founded on irrefutable proof, but rather only a possibility. Science itself will say that)

Being religious is convenient to comfort the thought of death!
You would feel much better thinking there is life after death instead of nothing but returning to what you where originally.
Evolution is much more believable than leprechauns, the Easter bunny, Santa Claus, or the bible.
By all means comfort yourself if you feel the need to.
Another interesting point would be the bible was a tool for kings to control their people.
Is the bible worthless? not really if it wasn't for the bible I am sure we would have many more crazy sick people, although I must add it bred quite a few as well.
Do I find a large part of it disturbing? For sure, the bible praises violence and killing, while it contradicts it's self saying tho shall not!
Violence:
Deuteronomy 21:18-21 "If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son, who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they chastise him, will not give heed to them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, and they shall say to the elders of his city, `This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.' Then all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall purge the evil from your midst; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
Ignorant Violence:
Leviticus 20:27 "A man or a woman who is a medium or a wizard shall be put to death; they shall be stoned with stones, their blood shall be upon them."

the bible IS the evidence...its a collection of history in before, during, and after jesus's time which explains creation. so technically it does have something to back it up. evolution also has SOME evidence but only goes so far, it does not explain where these species started, just how it went over time.
