I am simply curious. I saw a Discovery show about this cargo airplane. This question came to mind, and I listend attentively to the show for the answer. I am still curious.

qbqb is right, it all depends on the place and time it takes to take off from the ground.
also, to all the pople out there who say things like "why do you care?"
this is Yahoo! Answers. it is a place where people come to get answers for their questions. that is why this whole program was designed. do not question people for the questions they have, considering the one you are aking might be stupid to them. this person stated that they were just curious. let him have that right to expand his mind and have fun with a little trivia. quit getting all up in arms over someone picking the brain.

I won't give you inforamtion on the C-5 Galaxy, but they are fun to fly in and a lot of fuel is consumed as well from here to Iraq non stop.

The C-5 Galaxy is a very large military transport aircraft. My question is do you have a "Need to know" that information?

Can't give you an exact answer due to wind runway length and other factors but its 51,150 gallon tanks can fly it 2150 miles land and go another 500 miles before re-fueling.
