Because people who think you should believe their way are very intolerant of others. They preach love and tolerance but if you don't think the way they do, if you don't attend the same church, if you don't fit into their mold, you are destined to go to hell.
Did I mention that these people preach love and tolerance?
I would really like for these tolerant people to convince me of their beliefs WITHOUT quoting from the bible.

GOD would like us to be united in love?
Should You Belong to a Church?
excerpt-
How God Dealt With People in the Past
Almost 4,400 years ago, a catastrophic flood struck the entire earth. Such an event could not easily be forgotten, and peoples the world over have stories about it in their early history. Although differing in details, these stories have much in common, including the fact that only a few humans and some animals survived.
Were the Flood survivors simply individuals fortunate enough to have randomly escaped destruction? The Bible account shows that this was not the case. Significantly, God did not inform each individual about the coming Flood. Rather, he told Noah, who in turn warned his contemporaries of the approaching Deluge.—Genesis 6:13-16; 2 Peter 2:5.
Survival depended on being part of this close-knit group and on being willing to accept God's direction given to Noah. Even the animals in the ark that survived the Flood did not do so apart from this group. Precise instructions were given to Noah to make appropriate provisions for the preservation of animal life.—Genesis 6:17–7:8.

I am like you. I believe in God but also Jesus and all. But I don't go to church. People think I need to go but I feel out of place at any churches I have tried. So God and I talk one on one...John 3:16 for God so loved the world He gave his only begotten Son that who so ever believes in Him shall no perish but have ever lasting Life...

The answer to that is both God and Jesus Christ are associated with religion. Technically, you cannot have Them without the other, and God cannot go without Jesus, as this world was supposedly created by Jesus under His father, God's, power. They are the basis of the Christian religion and if They were not, there would be no miracles, Atonement, blessings, sacrament, earth as we know it, or anything of that sort.

Fine you believe in God.
Question: What does He expect from you?
What do you expect from him?
Where did you get the answers from?
This is the way I see God as or This is what I feel God wants...you have created your own god in your own image after your own passions.
Jesus shows us what God is like and what He wants from us. The church SHOULD be a place to learn those lessons and to care for one another.

You don't need church to believe. On a peersonal note,I wouldn't go online and tell all the planet that I don't believe in Jesus or religion. It seems that you grasp that your beliefs are a personal matter and a personal problem with which you must come to terms on your own.

You don't NEED church to believe, but God wants us to gather with other Christians and worship him. Why don't you believe in Jesus? He's really cool

You can believe and not attend church. You should go to church as that feeds your spirituality too but it is not required. As long as you have a relationship with God and you refill your spiritual spring then I see nothing wrong. By the way, I am a Christian.

Religion is big buisness. If you're not in the church, handing over your money (it's called tithe) then you can't buy your way into heaven.
