Grilled is best. Just pour on a little olive oil and grill about 10 minutes.

Unless you want to stuff them--then you should bake or broil.

Portabello mushrooms are great as fillings to sandwhiches, especially if they've been grilled. You can mix them with a variety of things but my personal favorite are with marinated red peppers and mozzarella. You can buy marinated red peppers at the store and then suatee the mushrooms in a bit of live oil and when they're about half way done add a little of liquid from the can of red peppers. Put everything together on bread with some mozzarella and some pesto and it's delicious.

My favorite is to grill them like you're making a hamburger. Rub them with olive oil, season them lightly, and grill. Put them on a whole wheat bun and top with whatever makes your life complete in a burger...it's wonderful

I like them turned upside down with blue cheese and sprinkled with a few bread crumbs. Bake them and finish with a drizzle of truffle oil. Or fresh truffles if they are available to you. Serve with roquette salad. Or top with roast capsicum and melt some goat cheese on top. YUM!!

Marinate them in your favorite marinade just like you would beef or fish or chicken and then grill them. Ummmm, or cut up and cook with steak or chicken and have fajitas!!
