If so, why?

All right, all right, don't get touchy. I heard from someone years ago that it was a sin because when Jesus returns you're gonna your body back or something. I was just curious, now I know the truth. Thanks!

Very good question.

No, it's not a sin.

Agreeing to be an organ donor -- either while you're still alive, or after your death -- is seen as a great act of charity by the Catholic Church.

The only possible way it would be a sin, is if a person allowed him/herself to be killed in order to donate organs to others. But that's one of those "far fetched" things.

No ,it's not. But I would be caucious because I heard that there were instances where rich people were in demand of some organs and they pay nice amount of money so when someone was after a car accident and even though they still were alive and kicking they didn't care and cut the guy up.

I don't believe it is a sin...however some may believe that you shouldn't because of the hope of a bodily resurection.

Basically no organs no resurection. Not really sure if I believe in this, but I do know that I am against creamation, for the same reason.

First of all, you should ask yourself why would you donate organs? To safe a life. That counld not be a sin, anyone telling you otherwise is a religious moron. Our bodies are only shells to be replaced.

The Catholic Church has no problems with blood or organ donations. It is actually encouraged.

With love in Christ.

Thou shall not donate thy organs to prolong the lives of my fellow children? Of course you can!
