I had 2 of them growing up. ButterBear and Hoppopotamus.
I saw an ad on tv for them not horribly long ago, right around the time Strawberry Shortcake became popular again. But they must not have done well in test markets.
But the best bet is to check eBay as everyone suggested. I gave mine to a local hospital for the pediatric wing, or I would offer up mine.

Was the toy actually called a puffleump? Or was that a nickname that you gave it? Try asking your parents or whoever bought it for you what it was really called. Or try looking on e-bay or google. or call up fisherprice and ask if they still carry that toy.

Look on this site: http://www.thisoldtoy.com/L_FP_Set/T_0200.htm
and see if you can find it, it is a list of old Fisher Price toys. I scanned through it, but couldn't find it. You would better know what to look for. There is also the option to email them if the toy is not on the list. I don't know if they will be able to supply it though.
I hope you find it!!!

If you could give me more information on this, I could help you more. Is it a bear? There are bears on ebay.com, called puffalumps(different spelling than yours.), that are also Fisher Price, if this is not what you are looking for, I will help you look, just let me know what exactly the toy is.

I found it online and I think the reason you haven't been able to find it is because you've been spelling it incorrectly. Looks like it's actually spelled "puffalump"
Here is a link to some on ebay:
http://search.ebay.com/puffalump-fisher-price_W0QQfkrZ1QQfnuZ1
And another random web site that has them:
http://www.dollinfo.com/fppuffs.htm
