I think it would be healthy :) I wish there was this much lively discussion in person, in the coffeehouses, on the streets. How awesome would that be if we were all honest about our beliefs and questions and cnocerns?
But I guess you're right some people wouldn't be able to control themselves and it could get ugly. I guess people just need to grow up and treat each other with respect no matter what they believe and no matter how much we may disagree with their opinion. Every person is beautiful and precious and deserves to be treated with dignity, not demeaned just to make a religious or political point!

Most people here on YA who speak so nasty towards others when they disagree would probably not even open their mouths when face to face with that person. I saw a lot of it when I used to hit the message boards, and boy were these people cruel. So many threats, yet you know that they were just 'Keyboard Warriors'.

I don't think it would happen. I think that we have our screen personalities, which are like our street personalities, only louder. And more outspoken. Most strangers on the street who try to talk religion to my husband or I usually just get "Pfft!" as an answer.

Its possible. But there would be peacekeepers too. People who would advocate love. And people who would try to psychologize the fight. And people who would try to make a connection between it and evolution. And people who would derive a new metaphysical concept from it. And people who would try to advocate Christ and His teachings in the middle of the fight. And people who would make some nasty, bitchy comments about it. And people who would make a joke out of it. And people who would ask stupid questions about it. And...
So it wouldnt just be a war. It would be a concoction of stuffs. It would probably resemble a very...messy marketplace.

i think most people would act differently if they had to face each other. yahoo allows them a certain amount of amenity, so they are much more bold in their questions and responses.
