I once worked with a girl that was very anal about the amount of cream in her coffee/tea. So anal, in fact that the INSIDE of her porcelain mug was marked with a Sharpie marker as to let her know where the level for coffee/tea should stop -- and above that (about a centimeter) was another mark for the cream!

I have a friend who pours the sugar into her hand first. She just fills the middle of her cupped palm. She says it works out to about a 1 1/2 Tablespoons. When she pours real milk or cream she counts to two as she pours. If it's dry creamer powder she does the hand measuring thing again. Believe it or not she gets it about right most times. Even with sugar for tea.

My mom does everything by the way she feels it should be. I can never get a recipe from her because she never writes or measures anything. It all comes with just doing it. It makes me sick cause she is a great cook and I can not ever just ask her how much of something to put in something cause she doesn't measure anything.

It's really not about measurements. Try mixing your coffee, sugar, and cream with a teaspoon counter-clockwise. Three times. It will taste better. :) he-he.

Sorry, got no serious answer to this really. Just want to make you all smile.

Happy day to all.

My brother in laws used to measure the sugar for their tea my filling the bottom of the gallon pitcher. When it was covered, they had enough no matter how much it was... they had the worst tea in the world...

Yes, I actually know someone who counts his pasta noodles out as he prepares them (I could not make this up!!) He would actually prepare only a certain number, guess he had OCD or something, but I have seen him do it.
