i've read some of the comments here and had to stop myself from laughing. how facts can be gotten so wrong.
Ireland is catholic, yes. we do not however, feel the need to bring everything back to god, jesus, the bible, or any of that. we are quite comfortable to just get on with it these days.
american was discovered and founded by merchants looking for india and spices, not the persecuted. they came later on after england starting pissing people off. a good bit of the population got to america to find persecution after being free in africa.
American would never have gained independence without all those french weapons that were imported for the cause.
Don't get me wrong, America is a nice place, but before some people start firing off the mouths, get the facts first. sheesh!!

AS opposed to NO religious connotations? Good vs Evil is in ALL religions. I'd rather "put religion into everything" than use my religion to blow up innocent people by strapping on some bombs and walking into a mall like the Muslims/Islamics do.

And this country was founded on God and Faith. That's why our money has In God We Trust on it.

Tell ya what, next time there is a disaster or the Nazis try to take over your country, call France.

You're kidding, right? Americans? Try the Muslims who are killing people because we don't follow their religion, and because their religions tells them to kill all non-Muslims.

And stop generalizing. Because an American says something extreme doesn't mean we all believe that. So what, so there are some religious fundamentalist. Big deal. Big world, free country. After all, Americans are being told that just because hundreds of Muslims attack us doesn't mean all Muslims are bad.

You can't have it both ways. If you're going generalize the Religious Right as all Americans, then all Muslims are terrorists.

yes it is pretty annoying,i am from the us and wish they would stay in there own community ,might be freedom of speech,so talk to me about god i will preach about evolution, plus its a good way to clear a guilty conscience for the evil they have inflicted, why was the americans there way or no way the native indians was there way before them why did they condemn the sun dance, they could not exercise there beliefs, so the english was not the first in the usa ,but was the one that ruled as a deadly storm, forming a country on there beliefs

People want to find validation for their beliefs. I wouldn't be surprised if it does. The Lord of the Rings and Chronicles of Narnia were both written by Christian authors and were assumed to contain religious themes. I think it's great because the Christians will enjoy finding the story in the movie, and everyone else will just enjoy the movie!

Many people came to this country originally to practice their religion without the interference of their home governments. So, alot of the ideals and morals that shape our country were started by people like the Puritans. I think religion has always played a big part in the views of this country.

The original settlers were escaping religious persecution from England and other countries. The very constitution we built off of those settlers. This is why GOD was and STILL is incorporated with the very fabric of law in this country. IN GOD WE TRUST!

Oh and FYI with all good intentions, evil does infiltrate. Not everything in control to this day is what it seems. TAKE CARE.

Hmmm...the first thing I heard of it was that the gay community was saying that it had gay connatations. This question is the same as why do gays have to put themselves into everything?

The same answer probably fits for both. We do it because we are defined by our religion.

we don't blame feminist 'honey'. we are actually not even questioning approximately feminists. even nonetheless, the reason of us not putting any attempt into highlighting adult males's themes is with the help of the fact we are able to be seen as sexist if we gain this. i think adult males ordinarily can by no ability escape the identify "sexist pigs".
