I have been all over Canada and the US. My personal favorites are Georgia, New York (not just the city, the state itself is absolutely gorgeous), and Quebec.
My favorite cities and why:
1. Quebec City - one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The people are friendly, and there is ooodles of places to see, for both new age visitors and those who appreciate the history of the city. Visit Chateau Frontenac, Le citadel, Les Plains d'Abraham, and walk the streets of Vieux Quebec...
2. Boston - So much history, so many museums, and probably the BEST shopping you could ever ask for!
3. Vancouver - what is there to describe? Culture, diversity, the coast, great weather!!!

Hope this helps in your travels!

My most favorite place to travel is San Antonio, TX. It is very beautiful and lots of fun. If your into history there is the Alamo and several other historical sites around the city. For family fun there is Sea World and Six Flags. There is also lots of great food and fun with lots of places to shop and hang out, like the Hard Rock Cafe. The river walk is the best especially at night when it is all lit up. There are boat tours daily, or at least during the summer, I don't know about winter because I haven't been in winter in so long. If you get bored of San Antonio there are other great cities in the area such as Austin, Texas, home of the Texas Longhorns, a few miles NE, Houston, TX several miles west, and if its the beach your looking for Corpus Christi is a few miles SE of San Antonio and Galveston is a few miles SE of Houston. And of course if you feel like a scenic drive you can drive up to the Dallas - Fort Worth area and spend a day in Dallas seeing the sights, or go into Arlington, TX, just west of Dallas, and go to Six Flags, or go to the Fort Worth Zoo, which is one of the best there is, in my opinion at least.
