God told the to be fruitful and multiply.
He gave them as will as His other creations the natural responses to do all that He asked. Adam was told to keep the gardens . God gave Him what he needed to do His will.

that's a legitimate question. I personally believe that since they were made perfect in God's image they were naturally instructed by Him. They weren't even ashamed of their nakedness until after the fall.
