People are entitled to their own opinions if they feel that truck drivers are idiots they are entitled to think that.It does not necessarily mean it is true.From what I know of truck drivers it is true that some are very ignorant and some are very courteous drivers.When there is a 4 wheeler broken down these quote "idiot truck drivers" are the first to call in for help.When the DC snipers were on the loose it was a truck driver who spotted them blocked them in and notified the police leading to their capture. We need truck drivers without them America stops because it is true the saying America moves on wheels.Not all truck drivers are idiots just some.The same can be said of us 4 wheel drivers.Some of us are idiot drivers to. I make driving errors like everyone else but none of them has led to an accident.I think all of America needs to focus more on the road and put down their cell phones and stop blaming and cursing truck drivers.They are just doing their job and a very good one at that. KEEP ON TRUCKING!

i dont think that- my grandparents were truck drivers for a long time and they were extrememly hard working. Truck driving is not an easy thing to do- you have to have odd hours and travel away from your family. Now there are some truck drivers out there who cheat on their wives and stuff like that- so those drivers are the idiots- not all the other ones.

Probably because of the way they are typecast on tv and movies. I know better becuase people call in from their truck phones to talk radion shows. some Farmers will call in from their combines too. You have to be smart to run a farm these days they have Combines with gps and the like and I am sure most people appreciate truck drivers when they go to the store every day and find that the stuff they want or need is there thanks to you.

Big trucks scare people and there may be cross words but I do not think that the drivers are idiots.

Because they think they're better than anyone who has to work for a living. These same people go to the store and take it for granted that EVERYTHING they buy was brought by a trucker. They don't know how much sleep deprivation, back breaking labor and attention to detail it takes to be a good trucker. There's no way I could find my way to half the places these guys go to, or make half the delivery times. They have to drive through all kinds of weather, construction and traffic, make appts, keep detailed records, and miss out on their kids' lives just so we can have everything we need when we need it. Anyone who is an idiot wouldn't last one trip in a semi!!!

Truck drivers are on the roads 24/7.....they are the most experienced people on the roads....then you have other people out for a sunday drive.....get mad because truckers sometimes obey the laws of the road and know the consequences of their actions...while other motorist could care less and are just in a hurry.

Why would people think that? Professional truck drivers are skilled workers, not everyone can drive those big cargo trucks, especially the 18 wheelers.

Maybe because a lot of people think that it is not a real job to drive a truck. It takes only common sense to drive, not a college or high school education.

where to begin! Truck drivers are idiots sorry but its true, Yesterday in the cincy area the news had reported 3 yes 3 semi truck accidents they took curve too fast they flipped they rearended someone blah blah blah....Semi drivers can't drive face it u drive too fast you dont know when to pull over and take a damn nap, you think you own the road, most are careless losers' (I SAID MOST) that can't make it doing anything else so they decided to be a full time perv semi driver. ARE you sorry you asked now?
