Ok...when you say "memory" are you talking about the hard drive? Because honestly, i dont see a use in wanting to erase the RAM. Because as you use other softwares on your computer the info stored in the RAM gets "pushed off" after not being accessed in a while.
If you're wanting to format your drive, or erase everything on your hard drive (in laymen's terms). Go to http://dban.sourceforge.net/ there you will be able to download a program that will create a floppy, that you will boot into, and it will TOTALLY erase the drive. Your computer will not even recognize a hard drive partition. You will have to reinstall windows and it will then format the drive to be used properly.
Theres nothing like a fresh start! You will notice that your computer will run TONS faster without all that extra junk on it. Hope this helps.

Not sure what you are looking for, but if you want a program that can clean your recycle bin at start up, clear the START>DOCUMENTS, clear temporary internet files, temp doc, xls and other related files, etc, then download the program scrub xp. Just install it and forget it, leave the prg on its own.

I hope this helps,
Cheers
