Hello M - it's better to concentrate on one language at a time and immerse yourself in it, just as you are doing. It's different with the three "romance languages" - French, Spanish and Italian. They have many root words the same and it's easier to transition from one to the other.

Hello,
With learning any language, takes time and also patient and not to forget intense motivation.
Pimsleur and rosetta stone are currently the best on the market, but its is costly.
Living languages and berlitz are also good as well.
Teach yourself books gives people grounding confidence to progress unto intermediate levels.
Phrase books also give people a helping hand.
I need to say that with all learning from books and cd, they don't teach you everything, i would laso recommend having a German penpal and also a Spanish speaking pal as well, if you keep on pratising you'll get better.
Most people that i know learn pace by pace, in other words they cover a different section everyday it is structured so they don't get confused.
Colloquial German and Spanish is also good, because it comes with cd as well.
Do not forget about the grammar, that is essential in saying things right.
Since you are an English speaker Spanish should be easier for you to grasp in no time, since you have already started learning German.
Take care and good luck

We plan on teaching our children English and Spanish at the same time. It can be done, lots of people do it. It would be kind of hard to do it off of CD's, DVD's, etc. but if you have two t.v.s with dvd players you could try watching one part of one, then pausing, and watching the same thing on the other, and just keep switching back and forth. I've heard it helps to listen to the cd's on a low volume while you sleep too.
Quite a few years ago some friends and I tried learning 5 languages at once. It was very difficult, and although we were doing well at it, we stopped having time to get together and do it, so we just quit.

Yes, make a schedule. For example. Monday 6-7pm German. Tuesday 7-8pm Spanish. I think an hour every day would be ideal, but more realistically, one day German, one day Spanish.
Why not get lessons once a week in each subject.
Anyway, it's great you're learning languages, they are the tools of communication. As long as you enjoy and are enthusiastic, you'll make great progress.
Good luck.

It's high-quality if you happen to recognition at one language at a time.Once you believe relaxed with one language transfer directly to the following.Although I did study 2 languages immediately while I was once developing up. Spanish is the opposite language. Or you'll take a look at finding out 2 languages immediately for a couple of days and spot if you'll manage it.If you spot its an excessive amount of than confidently you'll drop the additional magnificence earlier than the drop time limit and get an entire refund for the moment magnificence. If thats an alternative.

Learning two languages at once is difficult. You might mix up the words in two languages, Spanish and German has the same root, words spelling might be similar in some way. If you learn two totally different language, like Chinese/Korean/Japanese with another European language, I think you will do much better job.
