My family is going to Disney World next spring, and I was hoping that my WHOLE FAMLIY THAT IS IN A NEAR STATE! I am 10 and my brother is 19 with is 19-year-old girlfriend that I consider my sister, to come with us. After all, we haven't had a nice family vacation since I was 2. It's gonna be me, my mom, my 2 neices, my 2 sister-in-laws, and my other 2 brothers. But it won't be the same without my other brother and his girlfriend. They don't wanna go without them. They don't wanna go because when they were my age, a lot of the rides in Disney World were kiddie rides. My brother's girfriend wants to go, but she wouldn't feel right going without my brother. Could you tell me a way to just deal with it and go without him and his girlfriend or could you tell me a way to convince him to go without getting annoying?

Start by telling your brother how much you care about him and how excited you are about the trip that you are going on. Also tell him that it just won't be as much fun for you if he is not along. But if for some reason, your brother and girlfriend do not decide to go, I hope you have a wonderful trip and I am sure you will have a lot of fun with the rest of the family. Don't let them spoil your fun. There will be other vacations later on that you can take with your brother.

Well you could try to convince him to go with you and go to Disney World one day and then him and his girlfriend could do other places on the other days. There is MGM, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and a few water parks that aren't just for little kids. At Disney there is Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain and a few other ones that he could do. There is also the possibility that they could leave the park for a day and go to Universal Studio's. It is in Orlando, but not at the Disney Park. That is definitely not for little kids.
If he won't go for that suggestion, then you might have to give up on them going. Ask him about that and if he says no, then that will mean no and you won't be able to change his mind. I hope he does go with you but, remember that it is Disney and when you get there, you will have fun, NO MATTER WHAT OR WHO GOES WITH YOU!

Just go and and have fun, I know is seems odd with some of the family missing. But I bet once you get there you will start having a good time and you will forget that they are not with you. You can't force people to do something that they don't want to. You can tell them that it will be nice with all the family and let them think about it. If they still say no, forget about it and just go and have a great time.

I have just returned from a 10 day visit to WDW. It is surprisingly varied in the venues that are offered. All the way from Tower of Terror, to the Rock and Roll Rolercoaster. He will find something to absolutely have a total blast doing. If it were my big brother, I would ask him to go for the reasons you have stated:
1) It is probably the last time you and he will have a "family" time. (these are too few, and far between)
2) It will add to your vacation. (family is precious)
3) There is no doubt that he will enjoy himself, he just needs to be prodded!!!
Good luck, and let me know how your trip was!!!
Huggs and Kisses,
Lonnie

We just got back from Disney saturday, and tell them that there are more rides for adults and teens than there are for kids. Be sure and go to Animal Kingdom and Epcot. The shows are great and there is plenty for your whole family to enjoy.

I have a big family too, so its hard getting every one together. Talk to them both... his girlfriend should be able to help you convince him.See if they will go for at least part of the time. That way you will get to spend time together. You'll be having so much fun you wont mind so much when they leave

I'm not trying to be rude but, go by yourself and have a fun time with your family. Maybe some other time your brother and his girlfriend could go. Good luck! Have fun! Stay safe!

Tell them exactly how you feel. Tell them that you will be very sad without them there and that you never know what can happen in life and this could be the last chance for the whole family to be together.

Dear sweet child,
Please understand that your brother is not trying to hurt you. He is at a time in his life that he's in love. (I know eh). Just because he doesn't want to go or will not go on this trip doesn't mean he doesn't love you. Just find something else that the two of you enjoy and let that be your special connection. Example: football, baseball, talking about girls, etc.
Hope this works out for you!!!!!!!
Go and have loads of fun.
Mrs. slynch
