Anything that you put in your mouth could give you a food-born illness, even water and fresh vegetables. If it is not stored properly or gets contaminated somehow, then you could get sick from it.

Good God I sure hope not!!! I love maple syrup and eat it atleast 2 times a week on french toast and pancakes!!!!! But then again- everything that tastes yummy is automatically bad for you according to USDA lol

I don't know about Maple syrup but you can't give babies honey because it could have Botulism

I would think not, since the sap must be boiled to produce the actual syrup.

I would think if it wasn't processed properly it could.

Get your HepA or is it HepB - can't remember - and you probably don't need to worry as much.
