The quickest way is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohal, and sodas.

Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.

In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits contain natural sugars, and that can put on weight)

Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.

Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)

Go exercise for at least an hour a day, incorporating weight training. Weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition.

Good luck!!

I used to be overweight, until I got serious with myself and decided that, as a matter of health, I NEEDED to get into shape. I did this by watching what I ate (limiting fat and sugar) and exercising (about 30 min./4 or 5 days a week). What also helped for me was eating less calories in one meal, but eating more often. For example, eating a meal of 300 calories or so every 2 or 3 hours for a total of 6 meals, approx. 1800-2000 cals/day. This helps to jump-start your metabolism by making your body constantly digest food.

Also, I think the most important thing when it comes to losing weight is your mindset. Lose weight for yourself, not because you want to please someone else. Also, it helps not to think of your new eating habits as a "diet," but as a new, better, and healthier way of eating that will last a lifetime. Good luck with whatever diet plan you choose to go with, and don't give up! :)

What is your age???

Generally you gain weight because of fats deposits, just dissolve them. How?

People go for losing weight by pills or starving.

Pills do not act effectively and for longer durations. Pills have many side effects for your health.

Starving weakens you and your defense system is also weakened. This makes you less resistant against infactions and other diseases.

The best way is to lose weight by change of diet and your physical activities.

1. Reduce or stop to take oils and fats.
2. Stop taking sugar and glucose. (Mainly tea, coffee & cold drinks.
3. Stop taking potato, rice.
4. Reduce wheat and corn as much as possible.

Take vegitables, boiled meat, fruits (even sweet).

And at the top of all:

Play physical games or Walk, as your age allows, at least 40 to 60 minutes twice a day.

You will start losing weight to the extent of daily difference.

i believe on average a women requires around 1200-1500 calories a day. keep in mind to lose weight you need to burn excess calories (ie more than what you take in). one pound is about 3500 excess calories.

you may not see a change on the scale but there may be a change in you body. get a calculation of your BMI!

MISCONCEPTION!! muscle does not weigh more than fat...it is more DENSE!! you may have increase some muscle mass in your body and thats why you dont see change. Muslce takes up less room that fat does.

also, make sure you eat breakfast. it kick starts you metabolism so your body can use the food you eat better.

TIP! try running in the morning before you eat anything!! you stomach is empty and your burning ONLY EXCESS CALORIES!!

I tried eating smaller portions and slowly. Using a smaller plate makes you feel like you are eating as much as normal. If you eat slowly and enjoy what you eat, you will be amazed at how quickly your stomach fills up. I went down one size in about two months using this trick. It did take about 1 month to notice any change at all in my waste line. Good luck!
