....such as Mecca and Medina.

Isn't their influence corrosive towards the message and preaching of true Islam?

yes they are Wahhabi and because of this i would like to say my opinoin about the women in saudi arabia regarding face covering.

Here is my point of view. how are you interpreting the holy Quran? Saudi people are not the only Muslims and not the only one who are educated. Saudi scholars interpret the Quran in a way that covering the face is mandatory. Therefore, many people are brainwashed by this. I respect the woman who is covering the face because she believes she has to. But I don’t respect when people force their women to cover. It is personal issue between you and Allah. Other scholars around the world, who existed before Saudi Arabia, interpret the Quran differentially. They say covering the face is optional and they proved it by A7adeeth from Al-sunah. To sum it up, uncovering the face is not a sin. Back in the days ( in prophet Mohammed area) women used to sell and buy on the street uncovering their face and prophet Mohammed never forced them to cover.

Truly holy cities, ie Mecca, Medina, Jeruselem, etc. should NOT be under the control of any one people, but should be international cities, free and open to all.

That would, of course, depend on your interpretation of the "message of true Islam."
I get the feeling you think the answer to your question should be "No", and I agree completely. But those who have a strict, conservative, fundamentalist interpretation of the Quran would likely answer differently.
