Now that's the spirit! I depends on your location. Is there a local state with historical features you'd like to see? Is there a local state that has nice beaches?
You may want to do a search on Expedia to see what vacation packages are available. After narrowing down a few locations, check out the site below. Its from the Travel Channel. Its travellers reviews of where people have been. I love looking at it! I find it very helpful for my trips. Good luck and happy traveling!

I don't know if you lead a busy life but one suggestion I have is for you to take a trip to the quiet and relaxing mountains. I live in the valley underneath the blue ridge mountains and when the family is stressed a weekend trip to the mountains relaxes us. There are lots of things to discover and get into. You could make arrangements to stay in this fancy french chateau and bring the one you love and enjoy good food, fun games, and a romantic environment.

If you are feeling daring and do not want to spend much, latinamerica, Colombia is a good place, it is better if you know someone there before you arrive to make sure you stay out of danger. The city of Cali has a great 2 week festival in December. It is not expensive and a lot of fun for a vacation. Enjoy.

I went to Jackson Hole, WY in January with some friends and we had a great time. Between us four our trip cost about $450 each for air, hotel, and airport shuttle. We went skiing and snowboarding for the first time and it was a blast. 3-day ski lift tickets and ski or snowboard rental ran us about $240 each. We felt like we got an awesome deal for the experience we had.

Canada. Lots to see and do in many of the provinces. See the nice mountains in British Columbia or Alberta, or perhaps visit the East coast.
Maybe ontario - see toronto if you like city life, or go to northern ontario. Lots of camping and wildlife.
