now germany is calling for the US to renegotiate arms deals with russia...does germany want russia to have more weapons? maybe to become allies with russia in case some crap goes down? i dont know if i like those two being so buddy-buddy

Yes. I think you are the only one. Russia and Germany are not the military mights they once were.
History repeats itself often times. But things have moved so fast over the past 50 years and I just think it is premature to go jumping to conclusions.

When Gerhard Schroeder was chancellor Germany and Russia were even more close...I wouldn't worry about that...
