When i was 14 my cycle started to mess up so the local clinic put me on orthotricyclen. Then soon after the depo shot. The shot caused me to gain 60 pounds and get cysts on my ovaries so they put me back on orthotricyclen. After that they took me off everything and said i had infection in my tubes. I got fed up and went to the gyno and he said i have endo: to have a baby.. The clinic agreed. now im on orthocyclen without taking the greenpills to stop my cycle. My mom had it and had a hysterectomy at 23. IM 20 now what should i do??? have a baby? wait? I really want kids the other options of the leupron shot are not for me b/c of other health problems. PLease give me advice

This is a perfect example of why doctors shouldn't jump to regulate a teenagers or young woman's hormones with synthetic chemicals. it causes long term problems.

What happens if you just go off all the birth control?

when i was 17 i skipped my period for 9 months. i was irregular up until then. after that it was hit or miss as far as the length, but once i got married and into a regular routine it all leveled out, and for the past three years ive been perfectly regular with a 38 day cycle.

When i was 18 i went on the pill to clear up my skin, but my period wasnt following the pills even after four months, so they put me from tricyclin to ortho ova, and suggested the shot because it still wasnt regulating. They told me i had all sorts of problems and needed all sorts of medication.

bull crap. I stopped taking everything and in a year i was perfectly normal and have been since.

Its just such a dangerous thing that doctors mess with. not all women cycle like the tide. And those pills cause problems because theyre not something your body would handle naturally.

Ugh, this totally sucks for you, i really feel bad.

i'd say if you are married and children are an option, and your doctor thinks it will help, go for it. Otherwise wait it out. If it were me i'd stop the meds and adopt a healthy life style.

Oh, and i got pregnant without a fuss, one cycle of trying. So, thats not an excuse either. I didnt need regulated to make sure i could concieve.

Oh my gosh Kimberly k is right STOP having sex and get OFF the crazy chemicals the doctors are giving you. it will be very hard for you to have a baby after you get off the birth control any ways with out all the problems you are having now. i started out on the pill then the patch then shot and i feel so much better now that i am not on any thing! and what the doctors aren't telling you is that you are more likely to have a miscarriage after being on birth control. both me and my friend were getting the shot and both of us have had a miscarriage after we got off the birth control, it is very painful and VERY scary, we both woke up in a puddle of blood which scared me so bad i stopped having sex for a long time.

To be absolutely sure; STOP having sex, get off the pill, and stop allowing those doctors to shoot you up with chemicals....I bet you'll feel so much better, and you won't be concerned with having a hysterectomy so young, or having cysts either!!!!!

wow.. I really wouldn't rush into having a baby now... Adoption is a great way to have a baby in the future when you are ready...

If you want kids i suggest you start now because its better now than to wait and never have children of your own
