Make sure you have communication, trust honesty, patience, understanding, be willing to give more than you get, always try to support each other physically emotionsally mentally morally as well as financially. Be sure that when there is a problem to confront your problem at the earliest convenience, know when you need to walk away before you or your partner say something you might regret and come back when the two of you have had a breather and make sure the problem is solved to both of your satisfaction, if not, you will always be coming back to it.
