i find it hard to get my boyfriend to talk to me and i know he's bothered about something!

Men are NOT nurturing animals. We are, the women. Women share more with friends, sometimes even complete strangers (even I cannot figure that one out). Men see sharing as a weakness. It takes a very strong man to open up to anyone. Coaxing and nagging will NOT cause that to happen any sooner, either, so get past that. Good luck.

I think men feel they have to have a "tough" personality. My boyfriend never tells me when something is wrong. I still know when there is something bothering him because he becomes quiet. I guess men feel they don't want to "bother" us with their troubles?

Men are men, we act the way we do because nature dictates that we be this way. One of the big differences between men and women is verbal communication...simply put men are more prone to act on their feelings than to talk about them.

in my experience, most men seem to feel that they can "fix" things, problems themselves, they don't "need" the help of the women in their lives... so they don't bother with sharing their troubles with women because they don't think we would have any helpful info. in the first place. sad but true.

Yap. Guys usually communicate well with their own group of friends. They tend to hide problem away from their girlfriend or wife as they do not want them to worry.

women in general are incapable of understanding men's problems
we are looking for solutions to the problem
we are not interested in sitting around discussing how we feel about it because discussion of feelings don't do anyone any good

Well...I know guy communicate best with people they consider their friends,(best friends) so if you all never established that relationship it would be kind of hard for them to open up.
