It partly depends on your age and marital status. If you're young and never married, it may be thoughts that your energy and sexuality should go only to the one you marry.
If you've already been that route and are now free to do what you want with your life, I see nothing wrong with being Friends with Benefits if part of the benefits are mutual respect.
You may be feeling some guilt because society tells us this is bad. Don't fall into that old cycle. Sexuality is as natural as eating. We are born to share love and that's what you're doing......
If you feel fear because it won't be a permanent situation, keep moving forward with your life. Work on your career, hobbies, sports, new friendships, whatever is of interest to you. Don't focus too much beyond 'now' because doing so causes anxiety and takes away the joy of this minute. Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring so enjoy today as best you're able.

I know exactly how you fell I have been in the exact same situation before. Look at it this way it can be a thing of beauty (the act of love) but depending on how you look it can also be ugly. If you feel bad whenever you do these things than don't do them. Maybe there is something there that is telling you no wait stop I shouldn't be doing this. Then another part of you thanks hey what the hell. Do you want to make this into a permanant realtionship with this guy? That might help to make you fell better. If not then maybe you should just let things chill while you look for somebody to have a realtionship with. You may be one of those people that need a realtionship to not feel the guilt.

Deep down you feel there is more than just a friendship and you owe it to yourself to find this out. Chances are he may feel the same way.

I think that what you feel is guilty, maybe if you became more than "friends with benefits" you feel better, you know become his girlfriend. It might help.
