ok i have just broken up with a guy i really really loved. my friend sent me an email with one of their chats and he said he still loved me. what should i do? should i tell him i still want to be with him?

think about why u broke up with him in the first place, getting over a broken heart is painful, but if u get back into the relationship how long will u be happy? If u really love him and want it to work then go for it, but go back because u don't want to deal with the pain of a break up. Good Luck :)

First, think back to the reasons why you broke up. Have any of these issues changed, are they major deal-breakers, or was it just a petty fight when one or both of you were being moody? Do you honestly think that breaking up was a mistake? If so, tell him, apologize, and have a nice long talk to clear the air.
If you've done what I suggested and remembered what the problem was and still don't like it, then leave him alone and forget him. It's such a drag when people become one of those perpetually "on again, off again" couples, don't you think? So be sure what you want before you go get it! Good luck and may wisdom be with you!

If you still love him, why did you break up with him? You have to figure out what's best for you. If you love him and think you can resolve your differences then you should definitely tell him. You don't want to miss out on a good thing. But sometimes love isn't enough. If he treated you badly or something like that, then you should stay away. All depends on the situation but in the end, follow your heart.

Did you break up with him or did he break up with you?
If he did the breaking up then he knows you still want to be with him but you have to face the fact that as much as he loves you a relationship with you is not right for him. He was honest with you and finished it so for his sake and yours be fair and let both of you move on.

Hey it depends on why you both broke up. If the bad out weighs the good than no. If it doesn't go for it. Be honest with him because you will be really disappointed if some new chick did.

Maybe a little more info on why you broke up would provide a better answer. Is he a Jerk? did he cheat? Why is he chatting with your friend?

ask him if he wants to start over from the beginning cause you have heard thru the vine that he still has feelings for you and see if he would want to mend all the problems from the past
