Silver Oak Cabernet--Alexander Valley is around $100.
Joseph Phelps Cabernet--Insignia is also about $100.

Both are excellent red wines--Joseph Phelps was wine of the year for 2005.

Everyone is mentioning California Cabernet, which are nice enough, but they are very overpriced and the ones in the stores now aren't ready to drink for several years. Right now, for that price, the 1999 Brunello's from Tuscany are the way to go; there are many great ones ot of this exceptional vintage, but how about these, as reviewed in Wine Spectator and vouched for by me:

Brunello di Montalcino Castelgiocondo Ripe al Convento Riserva 1999 Price: $99 Rating: 97
Very structured. Superattractive aromas of plum, blueberry and pressed flowers follow through to a full-bodied palate, with firm, silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. Layers and layers of ripe fruit, with everything in beautiful proportions. Almost a replay of the 1997, which scored 98 points. Best after 2006. 2,200 cases made.

or:

Altesino Brunello di Montalcino Montosoli 1999 Price: $90 Rating: 95
Deep, dense aromas of porcini and wild strawberry turn to fresh tobacco. Full-bodied, with tight and refined tannins. The finish goes on for minutes. A big, muscular, powerful Montosoli. Austere now; needs years of bottle age. Best after 2009. 1,500 cases made.

or maybe:

Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 1999 Price: $85 Rating: 95
Wonderful aromas of crushed berries and flowers follow through to a full-bodied palate, with loads of fruit and big, velvety tannins. Goes on and on. Best ever from here. Best after 2006. 2,500 cases made.

Caymus Cabernet wines are excellent - a younger vintage (2004?) is probably about $100...

Jordan Cab will run just under $100 in a restaurant, much less in a liquor store. Hard to beat.
