Sit down and talk you your Mom about how you feel and why and listen to her reasons for wanting thedog gone.
If it is the fact that she has to do all the care for the dog you could offer to do some of it but if you do make sure that you follow thru with the offer and do what you said you would.
Parents ofen have to take care of the "childrens" pets and it gets old. They hear how bad the kids want a dog and that the kids will do all the work and it ends up the parents do all the work.
So be realistic about what you can and will do and try and work out something both you and your Mom can live with.
Good luck.

Its sounds like you are attached to this dog!! If you said you dont mind then you probably dont love this dog as much as you think you do! But think about this "waking up in the morning and not seeing Dasiy!" would you be ok with that? if you are then let the dog go but if you arent tell your mom that you love the dog and that you want to keep her if you are allowed to. If she says no ask her for a new dog. Maybe you will like this dog alot better.

Why is the dog being given away??
you should be honest with your mom. if she still want the dog gone *unfortunate for your dog..and very sad!*, id make sure she is taken to a NON-KILL shelter. try the SPCA or Humane Society in your area...or even a rescue group for blood hounds..they are wonderful people that will make sure your sweet Daisy is placed in a loving home....forever.
I'm so sorry that you are facing loosing your beloved pet.
here are some links to rescue groups you could contact

Guess you'd better tell her. Be polite and say you're sorry that you weren't so honest the first time. You also need to consider why she feels the dog should be given away. She must have her reasons; what are they and is there anything you can do about them?

Simply tell her that you lied and that you really want to keep Daisy. you could also tell her that you didn't understand how much Daisy ment to you till you thought about loosing her

Give away her other children. See how she likes it. Then cry, scream, kick, sob, rock back and forth. Anything that you need to do.
