Everyone is allowed two days off work. These days do not have to be consecutive. This is the law. If the employee chooses to work 7 days a week, that is up to the boss to allow or not.

It is federal law that workers have to be given 2 out of seven days off, unless other similar arraignments are made with the employer. Workers at Pizza Hut will get days off, but they probably won't get two days in a row, especially on weekends; which is their busiest times. They can be asked to work over time (for which they will be paid extra, usually at time-and-a-half), but they have the option to refuse. Federal law also requires that workers know their rights so a copy of the regulations must be posted, usually in the employee break area.

Firemen and Offshore Oil Well workers don't get five on and two off. Firemen work for about 4 days; on call 24 hours a day, then they get six days off. Sounds nice, until you realize that you will miss a lot of weekends and if you are in a big city then you will spend 90% of your time on call. Offshore Oil Well workers stay on the rig for 2-4 weeks, then get their time off. They only work 8 hour shifts, while on the rig, and can get up to a week off between shifts. However, when they are working they live and sleep on the rig.

The military is the major exception to this rule. Sailors at sea usually work 6 hour shifts and have 8 hours off (to sleep, exercise, wash, and do personal tasks). They don't get weekends off. But, when the ship makes port they get liberty and all service members get 30 days of paid leave each year. Most companies don't give vacation time until you have worked for them for several years.

The State Labour laws stipulate the number of working hours in a week . Full time and Part time workers may have different hours but total hours cant be exceeded and if they work more hours overtime has to be paid or compensatory off given but these too are governed by the state labour laws.
The Payment of Wages Act would cover this aspect .

Of course they get days off, it's part time work, and Pizza hut doesn't want to have to pay employees any more than they have to.

If you're a teenager, then they, probably, can't make you work everyday, I'm sure that even if you are not a teenager they don't make you work everyday, they also run shifts, so you wouldn't be working ALL day.
