I believe you do wrong your Karma comes back 10 fold. There is no way of telling how long till you have paid your dues. It depends on how bad you have been? (what you did and what consequences your actions caused?)

I also believe to start receiving good Karma (to undo the bad) one must do good deeds. Volunteer at a disability place or meals on wheels or homeless shelter.

Helping people without having to be asked. You will know when your bad Karma is over and that is when good things begin happening to you once more.

The more good you do for people the more good you get back. Everything happens for a reason ;)

Cheers

Karma works like this: If I'm a jerk and I treat everyone as such, eventually there will come a time when I am in need of help and I will receive none. If I am good and I treat everyone well, when I am in need people will treat me well. If I have been a jerk and I want to fix my Karma, I have to start being good to the point where people no longer see me as a jerk, that way when I need help I might actually get some.

The theory of Karma is based on "what goes around, comes around"

So it isn't a matter of time until you are "cleaned" it is a matter of balancing the books. If you have bad Karma, then do things to bring you good Karma. Do some good deeds to balance the bad deeds already done.

Here's something to remember about Karma:

Karma - but positive and negative - is built up over successive lifetimes. You've always been here, and your incarnations are innumerable. Now, in *ALL* those incarnations, you've done some really great things! But... you've also done some really hellish things. All of it adds up. So it's not just what you're doing *now*, but what you've always done in every lifetime that adds up to the Karma you are currently living.

Propagating good Karma in this lifetime may make this lifetime go a bit more smoothly - or doing good deeds can simply be a reward unto itself. Thats up to you to decide.

Good luck on your journey :)

Karma is a wonderful thing, if you have been wronged. If you were the one to do wrong, you deserve what you get. Your karma will right itself when you have paid for your wrong doings. Only the karma can decide when that is. This is, if you believe in that stuff.

Karma is nothing but a Hindu superstition.

It's a thing you need to work on. Do some good. It's all about being balanced.
