allowed to be sexually assaulted and killed by a 21 yr old man in a toilet at a shopping mall in Perth, Australia just a day ago ?. Why are her 15 yr old brother who discovered her body, her parents and other relatives made to suffer for the rest of their lives, let alone the gruesome untimely death of the little girl at such a tender and innocent age ? Should not such incidents that happen often, make us wonder, what is the reality behind organised religions and make us want to find (rather than believe) the real way how everything in the Universe operates. Blind beliefs separate humanity into different religions creating endless conflicts in this otherwise beautiful world. Appreciate your thoughtful comments.

Religion is people's way of explaining the unexplainable. If someone dies too young, or in a gruesome fashion, well.."God must have had a reason for it." or "God works in mysterious ways" or some crap like that. Or we're told that we were given free will, and that God cannot intercede. The truth as religion knows it is that we are meant to suffer until our death, whereby we will reap the rewards in heaven. If you're good, you will be rewarded. If you're bad, you will be punished. So suck it up and deal with it until then. Don't question, don't try to figure things out for yourself....GOD has a plan, right? uh-huh

Do you really think that it's a beautiful world without religion? The horrors of the world that we see on a daily basis would still continue if all the religions of the world were gone. The only thing that would be gone is the comfort that religion brings to some people in the aftermath of tragedies. God doesn't control every action of every person. God gave man free will. It's mans choice to commit sins. We all suffer tragedy, sickness and death in our lives. What is important is if you believe that you suffer those and then that's all there is, or if there is something better waiting for you in the end.

Satan is the prince of this earth. He denotes evil the way God denotes love. People have free will and do what they want. You can't blame God for the evil man does. And there is evidence of how the universe works in the Bible. There are things written in Job, for example, that men could not have known at the time. Read the entire book and you'll understand what I am saying. Stars were mentioned that could not been seen until the Hubble telescope. Polar ice caps mentioned by men in a desert. Many other things. There are many other instances in the Bible, mostly in the Old Testament. You would be surprised how Science has proven these things true that no one thought possible 100 years ago.

Everyone has a purpose, and this may sould callous at first, but here me out. Maybe that was her purpose.

Everyone assumes death, or harm can not be a good thing, can not possibly be something good, but is harsh and cold.

Theres two ways to look at this, from a religious or spiritual point.

The first, is that man has free will. The man that did those horrible things to her, acted against God, and sinned. This was not what God wanted, not what he wished to happpen, but man who has turned from God has brought it on himself, and will be judged for it. Blame man, not God.

Often times, too, things happen that we dont understand, and may not for years. Look at Megans Law. Because that sweet girl was killed, a law was put into place that helped to save many children. The Amber alert was the same thing. Perhaps, it is going to benefit larger society. Or, maybe just an individual. Maybe that death will affect some so profoudly there lives will change for the better.

We can ask why about almost every death of a child, or untimley death by someone who was loved? Why would God do that. You must remember MAN makes his own choices, and often times something good will come out of this sin. Not comforting, I know. But you asked why, so there you go. My POV only.

Because God is merciful and loving -- but some people, such as this 21-yr-old man you mention, are not.

Sorry, but I'm of the opinion that one person should not be blamed for the actions of an entirely different person. This courtesy should be extended to God as well.

God's will constantly involves love to the human race. Each individuals salvation is the end in view. God's governance of this situation is enumerated in the Divine Providence by Emanual Swedenborg. See the Swedenborg Digital Library or my website at:

That's a good question. I wrestle with similar ones occasionally. As a man who believes firmly in the Lord i have to say this. God created everything perfect. That sounds like a pat answer but i believe it to be true. He gave us simple instructions. We deviated from them. This represented rebellion against God and allowed what we know as "sin" to enter mankind's life and existance. Some say that in brinning sin into the world Adam and Eve gave Satan power over man. Others believe that In rebelling against God, while we may not have given Satan more or less power, we certainly told God, "Hey, I'm gonna do what I want."

To say that we have the ability to "limit" God's power would be wrong but we did, and continue to, allow sin to separate us from God. Unfortunately, sin takes ahold of peoples lives in differant ways. All of them are evil and hurtful to God, some, to us, seem much worse than others. The problem is that for God to simply stop things from happening would be to override the will he have us. God has made a way thru his son Jesus for us to return to relationship with him and find a remedy for our sin. Unfortunatly, when sin entered the world there was no "un-do" button and there is no way to "take it back". Mankind's nature is now inherantly sinful. People will sin. Some of that sin seems minor, some of that sin makes us sick inside.

I know to reduce this all to, "well, that's how sin works" seems overly simple but i don't mean it to seem that way. More, i hope this can help you to see how tragic it was when sin entered; how deeply that must have hurt and continues to hurt our creator and, give you an understanding of what God has done to restore what we have damaged.

If you'd like to discuss this more i'd be happy to. hxcjesusboy@yahoo.com

thank you for your question.

well in a world with so much evil, i think with the presence of free-will in man, we have equal chance for good as we do evil, and remember, Heaven is perfect, and Satan has alot of power here, but in Heaven he will have none, we chose to sin and make a fallen world, God didn't, we are here to try to change all that. Great question, and i'm sure i didn't help at all, but still, thanks,
Matt

Just as God is merciful and good there is of course cruelty and evil in Satan. This assault was caused by evil and sin that overtook that man, free will is where you choose right from wrong and he, obviously, chose wrong. Sin is what makes us do evil things and in order to stop the sin all man must accept the Lord Jesus and then all sins will be removed.

First thing those who ask such questions are usually non-believers themselves which have no desire to know truth or even come to an acknowledgment of truth. That is based on other observed behaviors opinions of others who ask such questions. But in spite of it all I will attempt to answer your question? In the Bible is a special verse in Genesis (which is a book of beginnings) ! and in Genesis 1:28 God just got done creating Man/woman his most awesome creation! And God Blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have Dominion over the fish of the sea, and over every living thing that moveth upon the face of the earth!

Dominion means sovereignty control, rule, authority dominance

Notice God gave control of this present world over to Man/woman
Man willingly rebelled against God by doing things His own way when He took of that fruit in the garden! Sin started that downward spiral the first murder Cain Abel Cain killed his brother Abel! this know also that in the last days perilous times shall come for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud , blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers , incontinent, fierce, despisers of those who are good,
traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof from such turn away

Sin warps and distorts the mind !!!!!

God is not responsible for drive by shootings, rapings, murders abortions, sexually assaulted individuals!

These are a result of Sin man/woman's rebellion to the will of God! Remember Dominion has been given over to Man/woman!

Control over this world has been given to us we are responsible for these terrible acts not God . God has created us to have dominion we are the one's to blame!

so are you trying to say that God brought those sufferings to the girl? But all good things come from God.
