Thank you! I make this argument myself and people ignore me. I'm glad to see we're on the same page. If you don't like the US, leave!

I'm not an American, so my opinion can only offered as and outsider looking in. It strikes me that you are clearly a republican and therefore right wing. Nothing wrong with that.....however if you accept the notion that you are free to support George and his war you MUST without hesitation accept that some of your own people may not agree and even be somewhat critical of the current climate in America.
You cannot declare yourself to be the greatest and freest of nations' on earth but then declare that that freedom is only applicable when it is in your favour. That is the very nature of true freedom, the ability and responsibility to disagree.
The US was a great nation and I believe it can be again, but first America and Americans in general need to realize that they are tearing themselves apart. It is unfortunate that you have lost your way, perhaps, in time, you will find your way back to a more civil and reasoned discourse.
By the way, for the record, I have been to both China and Cuba, and you are right I would not want to live there. Also, the US is not the only place on earth where freedom lives, so please do not presume.

I don't have the money. Cuba has fidel which means no freedom at all,so why go somewhere with no freedom when you can be some where with freedom. Iran.. been there, done that. China? Not sure.. I would like to go to France though, but everything is sooo expensive. If i were to move from here, it would be Europe but no where else for now. Maybe they don't hate the U.S., they just hate the one who is leading the U.S.
Everything will get better... eventually..

I am 100% American and I think America has many great things to offer. However, we are not the be all and end all of nations. I do not think it is our "supreme"duty to tell other countries how to run their politics. Do I agree with every decision that is made in America? Hell no! That is why it is great to live in America. WE are allowed to speak our mind and disagree with you and anyone else we choose. Do I want to leave? No way! Are things bad here? Yes, they are. Take off your rose colored glasses and look at what the real world is like. If you don't like people complaining about the situation our courty is in, leave, find new people to talk to, find someone who truly cares what you think!!!

It's a right everyone has in this country to speak their minds. It's protected by the Constitution. You're free to spout your views, no matter how hateful some of them may be, so why can't other people. And there is nothing wrong with questioning the government. If you don't question then it becomes a problem. I like it here and I plan on staying.

Money, family, friends, relationships, not knowing other languages. They might feel like they're intruding on the other country's property. It could be a mass of things. Also they might want to change our country, but they don't have the political power to do so. Therefore they wait it out, but it never gets better. I'm actually thinking of moving to England or some european country because honestly, there are a lot more mature people out there.

Because they are too lazy and apathetic to do anything with their lives. Instead of admitting their own mistakes they blame everyone else for their problems and do nothing to fix them. So we get to here how horrible everything is from them. I may not like everything my government does but at least I do my part to make changes by voting, staying current on politics and being active in my community and my organizations. The people that complain so much typically don't do anything useful, they just wait for everyone else to fix things and then complain some more.

Why do you assume because some people disagree with the govt that these people are less patriotic than you.It is the peoples right,to query, to challenge and to criticize. That is a basic right in a democracy.Or would deny them this fundamental right There's none so blind as those who cannot see

because.......
1. The Constitution allows them to spout their opinions (no matter how warped).
2. Why...if they left and went elsewhere they may run the risk of being shot for their outspoken and more often than not moronic opinions.
So...I would say...cowardice is the reason. I mean...isn't it easier to rant, rave and snivel rather than put forth an intelligent effort to work at trying to change it or just leaving?
You bet it is.

Um, it's not exactly that easy to just pack up and leave. Though I'm sure if it were that easy, the US population would be down to about 40% of what it is now.

Because they want attention. They don't really believe other places are better, but they want attention for their pet peeve, so they exaggerate.
However, in doing so they reveal their true contempt for people who REALLY suffer. They do them a disservice when the compare the plights of people being tortured to people living in the US.
I've challenged people on this, "Tell me how your issue compares to those in prison in China," or "Tell me how Bush is REALLY like Hitler." They can't anser it b/c they are being absurd.
Then I ask, "Do you think those people suffering would like to live in the US?"
At this point they scatter like cockroaches in a bright light.
