Because you were *lucky* enough to be born in a culture where being Christian is the norm, and you got into it by default. Now you are surrounded by people who agree with you so it is easy to justify your beliefs.
Others born in different cultures might not have had the same luck and now have people who support their beliefs and make it hard to see the light using Christian terminology. If you are seriously wanting to understand, then read some Hindhu writings and compare the sentiments (not the words) to what is written in the Bible. You will see that their beliefs about humanity, and right and wrong, etc. are not really that far from Christianity, even though their practices are quite different and the imagery is different. As a follower of God, don't be afraid to look at the good in the things around you, including beliefs that seem different to your own.

christians should respect the rights of others to believe in whatever they choose. to christians, hindu beliefs seem to be lies. but, to hindus, our christian beliefs appear to be lies.
as christians, we need to follow the two major rules set forth by God. those are
1. love your neighbor as yourself
2. love the Lord with all your heart.
the way i see it, if you expect to be able to believe in God and the amazing gift of salvation that we were given, you should set the example rather than telling someone that their entire belief system is a lie. i mean, come on. some folks have a hard time believing what's written in the Bible.
so, to wrap things up--we should attempt to do as Christ did and accept those that are different from us.

What makes you so sure Christianity is right? It's a faith. By definition, faith is something that has no proof. We have no way of knowing which religion, if any is right.
You should, however, respect Hindu beliefs. Do unto others as you would want done unto you. Don't you want Hindus to respect your faith.

I'm curious why you in particular chose Hindu beliefs, instead of Buddhist, Muslim, Shinto...
But the answer is the same: You don't have to respect anyone's beliefs. But as a Christian, you should respect the person who holds them. (Yes, even the liars.) It's impossible to demonstrate the love of Christ in the midst of showing disrespect. The only people to whom Christ showed disrespect were the Hebrew religious leaders who loaded people down with heavy burdens (namely unnecessary restrictions) while barely lifting a finger to help them. He told them that they were not the children of Abraham, as they called themselves, but the children of Satan.
Hey, the Southern Baptist Convention recently re-ratified their unBiblical prohibitions on drinking alcohol. If you want to dis someone, pick on them. (KIDDING!)
Seriously, though, there's no need to respect ideas -- but there's a huge need to respect people.

No you need not because your mind is not yet evolved to understand hinduism
you should believe that earth is flat and sun is circling around the earth
We hindus have deep respect for Jesus, and dont care if some ignorant people malign our great religion
Truth remains the Truth even if the whole population reject it.

First of all, as a christian, you should respect all people, all living things. Second of all, are you lying as a christian? Well, I don't think Hindus belive they're lying about their religion. You don't have to belive in any other religion but your own, but you can't judge other people because of their religion. We should stop worrying about what religion each person has and start respecting ourselves as human beings.

Because being a christian does not make you superior, that's why. Hindu's were taught one thing, you were taught another. Would you really believe in christianity so much if you were not raised that way? If your parents didn't teach you that, what would you believe? Think about it with an open mind.

No, but we should respect other peoples religion because if I'm correct, you're not God, thus you have no right to judge. But if you are bitter and can't be respectful, well then I guess you aren't really a Christian now are you?
