Do what you feel is right. Aside for the salary increase, I believe you'd need a new work environment as you already mentioned your dissatisfaction with your present work. Go for it and just be glad you have such choice. :)

The problem can be one of two things - too much self doubt about yourself and your abilities or some bad vibe or feeling from your intuitions about the new situation.
Obviously, if it's the former you should take the job and press onward!
If it's the latter, your subconscious may be warning you about some information you've picked up through the interview and selection process. It might be a real problem, or you might just have been overreacting to some insignificant item.
Sit down and make a list of all the things you are worried about if you take the new job, then note whether they are real worries, imaginary ones relating to your own self confidence, or concerns that came up through the interview process. Cross out the ones that relate to your self-confidence, then think hard to remember where and why you first came up with the more realistic ones. If there is anything you can do to reassure yourself on them (such as talking to other people or doing other research) you should do the research before you give a yes.
Understand that 90% of the worries people generally have during this time relate to self confidence and fear of the unknown, but you will make yourself feel better if you can get a grasp of what exactly it is that you are fearful of.

I'm guessing the high school offering the job is not the same school you currently work at?
Why are you doubting yourself? Are you doubting your abilities? Or are you not convinced working in a school environment is for you?
When faced with a big decision, it usually helps me to write out a pro/con list. I also listen to my instincts, which it sounds like you are doing.
Nurses are in such demand that turning down this job wouldn't be the end of the world for you. But taking it would also mean getting out of an unhealthy working environment.
Good luck!

You are 23 you should take the job if nothing else but to get some experience under your belt. Just think you have a chance to inpact teenagers in their senior year of high school right before they go into Adulthood. Plus the pay increase is good. I don't yourself. Self doubt is very damaging. If you are a christian you should pray before you make any more.

It's healthy to have fears about new challenges, however you can never get a guarantee that wherever you're going to would be just perfect and stressless (and with all the happiness you've dreamth of)...there are advantages of making this move, you have something to gain and you possibly owe your present employers nothing since you're not happy there. If not for anything else, take the new job because you owe yourself peace or happiness (or at least the pursuit of those).Good luck with your decision.

You fear the unknown, even though your current job is a stessful environment. This is a natural reaction.
Make a list of the pros versus the cons of taking up the new job. If you're going to make better money and do something you love, then why not go for it? It is better than staying in a stressful job and allowing it to affect your health.

Actually before you teach you should try to get some experience under your belt. It's awfully hard to answer students' questions when you don't have the experience to be able to answer. Teaching jobs are always available. Try getting some hospital work for a while.

OK...Don't lie to me...I won't....DO NOT TAKE THAT JOB....UNFRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT...RED FLAG...If you are only 23 & were already offered a GREAT job, there are more that follow that one...PLEASE send a RESUME out ASAP to other schools, medical communities, etc....YOU WILL receive many more offers...However you still risk the chance of meeting other unfriendly people..Just my opinion....PS...That is a wonderful job offer...Good Luck & Congrats!
