Wikipedia article on Pat Robertson

Claims about the power of his prayers

Robertson claims to have used the power of prayer to steer hurricanes away from his companies' Virginia Beach, Virginia, headquarters. He took credit for steering the course in 1985 of Hurricane Gloria, which caused millions of dollars of destruction in many states along the U.S. east coast. He made a similar claim about another destructive storm, Hurricane Felix, in 1995.[8]

In 2003, Robertson called on God to prevent Hurricane Isabel from hitting Virginia Beach (which it eventually hit). In 2005, Robertson launched Operation Supreme Court Freedom, a televised nationwide 21-day prayer campaign asking people to pray for vacancies on the Supreme Court, where "black-robed tyrants have pushed a radical agenda." Robertson declared that "God heard those prayers"[9], after the announced resignation of Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

Wow, isn't that kind of mean of him? Why would he steer hurricanes anywhere but out to sea where they can't bother anyone? That seems pretty jerky to me...

Ha, ha, ha, 'tis to laugh.

If Pat Robertson is such an effective weather alterer, why should people even bother watching the news for the weather report? All they need to do is wait for Pat Robertson, the male equivalent of Storm of the X-Men, to get on the case. :)

But seriously, it is a pity that so many Americans have twisted and misused the words of the Bible for their own selfish ends. God has greater things to think about than the fate of football teams in the World Cup, or of the composition of the United States Supreme Court, at least I should hope so!

God Bless Pat!
Like any media figure, he is very good at taking advantage of circumstances and serendipitous situations

He never mentions that Virginia Beach is mostly developed with Mafia money from NY and NJ

He's just like everyone else on TV, he's a good salesman

What can I say, he just wants it more than the rest of us, God, of course, is merciful, but hell hath no fury like Pat Robertson in a tizzy.
How can you argue with Pat Robertson, though? He can leg press you and 10 of your friends. Even God is impressed, expect more hurricanes killing unwed mothers in the near future, I have a feeling Pat Robertson isn't done with us yet.
We're like floatsom in the fury of storm Pat Robertson.

He's either lying or fooling himself. This man has strong opinions about stuff he doesn't understand. He has called hurricanes a way of punishing people, ignoring meteorological knowledge. He has called feminism just a plot by lesbians. He said Ariel Sharon got a stroke because he gave away the Gaza Strip. (One could argue that he got the the stroke because it took too long for him to give it away or that he simply wasn't a healthy man.) My point is that this man sees only what he wants to see. He can't accept that something isn't happening for the reasons he wants.

Your initial premise is faulty. As you first observed, Pat Roberson first persuaded God to deliver a typhoon onto gay individuals. That seems to me to say that *Pat Roberson* likes to deliver hurricanes on gays, truly than God -- shucks, God hadn't even considered the idea until eventually Roberson positioned him as a lot because it. when you consider that, even if, Roberson is so sturdy at directing God's wrath, why would not *he* sit down contained in the little bins and pray to God to blow him round for a even as. That seems a lot more advantageous honest.

are you kidding? he spews hate and is delusional just like Oral Roberts who saw a 500 foot Jesus in Tulsa. These instances are perfect examples why people need to take their medications regularly.

How come he didn't pray for hurricanes to not hit other places. Any way it's rubbish I think.
