Yes!
Consider:
"Yoga is a family of ancient Hindu spiritual practices that originated in India, where it remains a vibrant living tradition and is seen as a means to enlightenment. Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, and Raja Yoga are considered the four main yogas, but there are many other types. In other parts of the world where yoga is popular, notably the West, Yoga has become associated with the asanas (postures) of Hatha Yoga, which are popular as fitness exercises and also form the basis of an expanding business."

I believe in a 4 body system. Yoga helps to tune that system. It clears the mental body while allowing the emotional body to balance itself. There are many positive benefits for the physical body while the spiritual body receives the most from everything else being in line ,cleared, balanced, and opened. In the USA a lot of people use yoga for the physical benefits and are not even aware of how much spiritual benefits are also there to be gained.

Probably, but I think you should take any questions about yoga over to the Health and Fitness category.
You're probably a lot more likely to find people who know about yoga over there, than you are in the Religion section.

Yes it is because of the controlled breathing. Any time you slow down your breathing, you force your thinking to slow down also, which gives your subconscious more time to heal your inner circuitry.
