Try www.nada.com . Select classic cars.
There is also an excellent publication by Krause called
Old car price guide. http://www.krause.com/static/cars.htm
The condition of the car will effect the price. For Mustangs
the trim level, like a GT, and the engine size will also
effect the price. For example, a hardtop model with a 289
engine would be worth less, then a GT convertible with a 390 engine. You can also research classic care auction results of that model at www.kruseinternational.com

Check out the website below. I've got a '71 Mustang, and the value they gave for mine sounded about right.

It's worth what you think it's worth
But
to sell it may not be worth as much as you think or want
People BUY new
for the financing reasons
