Sites to visit in Riyadh are limited, but include the following:
* Masmak Castle, a fort in Riyadh famous for King Abdulaziz Al Saud's daring raid on the fort in 1902
* King Fahd Cultural Center, located outside of town, the cultural center has a planetarium, museum, library, and three theaters.
Check out Wikipedia, there is a whole tourism listing...

Swimming pools, library, golf, horse-riding, shops, restaurants- and many more if you are lucky.
One of the compunds where I was living had a small second hand book library and a pool, but not much more, and it was so small that everyone knew everyone and their business. Some compounds are very much bigger, like small towns and it takes time to explore it.
