Im just full of questions today, hows this one!

Im puzzled because 100s of people a year dye this way, because of violent bullying, buryied in dept, loss of a wife/ husband or Son/ Daughter.
Religion says they do but I dont agree because It might happen to me some day, I hope not but can you ease my worries?

Im generally a good person, everyone makes mistakes I've had my fair shaire of troubles, hence the questions on baptism, I am starting to scare myself now!

Picturing a lake of fire, lava, pitch forks bible - knashing of teeth, to suffer horrably as punishment - that cant be fair even if his Judgement is just.

uh, Help me?

But its up to you now!

yes of course.

Murder is a crime and not permitted by the 10 commandments. If you feel the urge and desperate enough to kill yourself, just bare in mind, life in hell will be worse. At least whilst you are still here, you can get some support and help to get better.

Suicide is murder . Don't do it or you will burn in hell

The only one that can answer that one is God. He knows the heart and if it is a lapse in judgement in the person, that they were temporarily insane, who really knows for sure? I think there are some cases that would or could still go to Heaven but very few. Suicide is the most selfish act you can do if you really look at it. You are thinking only of self, not of your family that will have to find you and go through life with the thought that you will most likely be in Hell. By the way, do you really believe a loving God would torture you for all eternity for such a short lifetime on this planet? Where in the bible do you find such a thing? I have read it through many times and have never found it. My bible says the wages of sin is death, not eternal life in Hell. It also says that if you have the Son you have life but if you do not have the Son of God, you do not have life. The opposite of life is death, not eternal life in torture. If you read your history, you will find that was an invention of the Catholic church to get people to give more money to the church and to come more often. Sure has worked as it is the number one teaching now other than the Sabbath has been abolished or changed from the seventh to the first day of the week. Both are totally false teachings. If you read your bible, you will find that Hell does not burn throughout all eternity but that they will be burned up, turned to ashes and die the second death. Check it out for yourself.

Is it not fair for God to throw you in hell for your sin?
If you make something that does not do the thing for which it was made, would you be just in throwing it in the bin? the truth is that these days we all want the thngs in life without the responabilty that comes with it. If you break the law then you go to prison, if you kill someone then you could, in some country's find yourself on death row yourself, is this not fair and just, that you take a life and then you forfeit your own? Taking any life is a crime against God and the whole of humanity. That person will never be again- he/she was a one off. Who knows what that person couldve acheived in their life, even for the good of us all. Can you imagine what would have happened in Jesus' day if production line abortian was available? Would she have been made to have one? Where would we be then without Jesus?
The truth is, we are all broken vessels, and no matter how hard we try we cannot fix ourselves, only the One who made us and named us can, and it is to Him that you must look too to mend your body and spirit, seek the answer from Him, because you can talk to Him any time you like, and He will answer you, it wont always be the answer that you want, but will always be the right answer, spoken in truth and with love to put you on the path that you were made- by Him- to travel.
If you refuse to be fixed, then is He not just to throw you away? After all, He has provided you with the means to get fixed- in the person of Yeshua HaMoshiach, and if you dont accept this, then you are unfixable and will be thrown away. Does the pot ask the potter "look at what you have made?" In the end we will all face God, for good or ill, and given a choice between His justice and this corrupt earths justice, I choose God every time.

Yes they do. And you better get some help.

Life is meant to be lived. Life was given for a purpose, a reason. The worst of times may come and there may be no end in sight. But you're not alone, humans across ages of every kind have gone through hardship. But it is not for you to give up and run away. If you do end this life of yours, where is the guarantee that you can come back and make it all better? You have no idea what awaits you when all is over. Why do you assume the bad times will remain indefinitely and are not simply a phase, that will pass away with time and patience? What makes you so sure you will not change as a person for the better and may in fact become so different to whom you thought you could or would be?

So many questions, you have to sit and reflect, pal and just let go. One shouldn't even THINK of ending one's own life. You are saying its forbidden in all religions and darn right so. Death is meant to seek us, we do not seek it ourselves. The things you will learn in this life is endless and precious, and the road ahead of you is long.

I assume you're quite young, what in your late teens? There's so much more in life you're going to go through, and I dont mean just the bad. So much good and wonder that is to come. Give yourself that chance. Drop me a line if you want to talk more about anything.

I heart that only if you are sick and you don't really understand what you' re doing, the things are different...many people that I love, died and I'm thinking death very of fen...then I'm thinking that, If I was dead and someone try to suicide just because he can't carry the pain, that could make me sad...I don't speak English very good, but I hope you get the point...And I don't believe that Hell could be some think like lake of fire and all these...that is the picture that people have...I me en, If I dig until lava, will I see the people I've lost?...life is something important...maybe not always nice, but otherwise, why the religion try to convince my not to kill my self?

This is a difficult issue. Saint Augustine said that suicide was the same as murder. If it’s the same as murder then it’s a serious sin and God would have to deal with it like He deals with all other sin. Sinners, who aren't Christians, go to hell. Therefore all non-Christians who commit suicide will end up in hell. If a person is a Christian, how could they even think of committing suicide in the first place? Being a Christian brings joy and contentment in life; not the disillusionment that leads to suicide. Now if for some reason a Christian did commit suicide, I'm not absolutely sure if they would end up in hell instead of heaven. It all boils down to the issue of whether or not a Christian can lose their salvation.

Murder is a sin no matter who we kill. But then again lying is a sin, and so is adultery. Sin is punishable by death which is hell.. Sin takes us to hell because God will not allow us into heaven with it in our lifes. The problem is though we can't get rid of the sin on our own. That's where jesus comes into the picture. he died to take our sin. We now have to confees our sin and Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and cleanse us from all impurities.
Suicide is a sin. But if the person knows Jesus then they will be in heaven, because they know that Christ has forgiven them. The end of the day don't do it 'cause God will be angry.

You said that you are a good person. That's great but being good is not enough for God. One man in the 20th century was good to many. He built houses for the poor and he seemed to be a good leader. We know his as Adolf Hitler. Where does being good draw the line. What is good? Someone called Jesus a 'good teacher.' Jesus said, 'Only my father in heaven is good.' If the Son of God can say that then can we really say that we are good. What you call good others will call bad. But what you call good God still calls you a sinner. Rememeber what I said about sin? The question is what are you going to do about it in your life? If you need to know what do contact me. I can explain to you the message of the Gosple and how you can know Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
I know your searching for the truth, I can tell by the way you are asking questions.

Suicide is the crime of killing oneself; this is as different from killing oneself as homicide is from man-slaughter.

Is killing oneself a crime?

In many cultures killing yourself is a respectible, honourable and acceptable way to end your life. Christians tend to believe that people should try to live as long as possible, but how far do we go to keep people alive with modern medicine who would otherwise die... we are already interfering with people's 'natural' time to die. A lot of Christians also support the death penalty; which is killing people before their natural time too. It really isn't so cut and dried.

If there is an all-powerful God I'm sure he looks into individual cases and extenuating circumstances.

I think that this is a pretty good argument against the existance of a God and a Heaven and Hell. The rules to get in seem a bit arbitrary. I don't think the universe works like that.

I don't believe it for a second.
Like most dogma it is based in superstition and control.
People die, they just do. We just have to treat each other better before we wink out. People are so flipping concerned with storing up goodness for the afterlife (pah!) that they forget to be more concerned with now and how they treat others.
Passing judgment is not the way.

I appreciate you may not accept this from me as I do not have a faith as such, I choose to live without this. Doesnt make me a bad person but i imagine people will happily tell me I am going to burn for it too.....well there we are.

If the person was a christian and the suicide was slow enough that they had the opportunity to realize that what they did was wrong and could repent of their sin, then they may make it to Heaven. Otherwise, they have committed a murder on themselves and will not make it to Heaven.

You mention that Hell is not fair if God is just. It always amazes me that so many humans feel that they know what is just more than God. Sorta like my teenage daughter knows whats good better than I do.

I was extremely saddened to see comments that say suicides go to hell. My brother committed suicide when he was 16, a poor mixed up kid who couldn't see a future for himself. When the balance of his mind was disturbed he took the only way out that must have seemed available to him. He was a loving caring boy who only wanted to be loved and respected and whose death brought enormous grief and deep feelings of guilt and regret to all who knew him. The terrible, awful mourning of my parents at the time will live with me for ever and if you were to suggest to them that their beloved second son had gone to hell I can imagine their reaction. The Church, (in which we were all involved, baptised and confirmed), granted my parents permission for my brother to be interred in the parish graveyard in what can only be described as a totally Christian decision. I sincerely wonder if those who seem to hold such strong views about suicides would be quite so fundamental and judgemental if it happened to someone close to them. And if they still did, how would they justify these views alongside traditional Christian values of tolerance, love, understanding and forgiveness?
I believe that our God is a fair, just and loving God. He sees what we cannot see, and understands what we cannot, such as what is going through the minds of people in crisis. Do not scare yourself or be afraid. Enjoy your life as there is much to live for. Put aside your thought that it might happen to you one day. It won't unless you allow it. Let others you love and care about know how you feel about them. Talk to someone, even a stranger, to find help...I guess that is what you are doing here! All life is indeed precious, but so is our capacity to be understanding and humane, caring and considerate. If we are truly made in His image, then this central characteristic of what it is to be human can only have come from God too.
God bless and good luck. Hope this helps.
