Just want to take pictures of stuff to sell on ebay and use for vacations.

After looking at Walmart.com, there are several cameras below $200 that are good choices. Actually I haven't looked at the low end cameras for some time, but it is definitely nice to see prices coming down so much.
Canon, Nikon, and Fuji always get top reviews. Sticking with these brands, and in that order, you should get a camera that is sure to please your needs. Canon is always top notch as well as Nikon. Fuji usually is a 2nd tier choice, but do have a decent line with FinePix.
In the $100-150 range, you have some good options:
Canon PowerShot A430 4 MP Digital Camera (currently out of stock)
Nikon 4 MP L4 Digital Camera
Fujifilm 5.1 MP FinePix A500 Digital Camera
Are you concerned with printing pictures in 8"x10" format or larger? If so, then you will need to boost the mega pixels to get better printouts. If this is the case, I would go for the Nikon 6 MP Coolpix L2 Digital Camera for $199. You can still print this large with the previously mentioned models, just remember the more pixels, the clearer the picture should print. Most of the times this is also dependent on the printer and the quality of the initial shot.

besides walmart check kmart. I work at the photolab at kmart. We have low priced camers, ecspecially the hp brand. Hp is a decent brand for beginners and those not wanting to take out a loan for purchasing a new camera. several hp cameras range in the $120 - $200 range.

The HP camera is pretty good camera I've had mine for almost a year & hasn't had any problems with it all!

what's your definition of cheap?
nikon is a good quality manufacturer of both digital and 35mm. so i'd recommend nikon whatever your budget is.
