No you can't avoid them. Every sin is deadly, when ever we sin they are all the same to God. You and I was born into sin and nothing we try and do can stop it. Let me ask you a question. If you killed a person say 20 years ago, and you went to prison and now are free. have you never killed again , would you still be a murderer? Of cause you would be. So you'll always be a sinner, same as me. The sad thing is though that sin takes us to hell. We can't stop it. Nothing we as humans can do will change it. Sin destroys us in the end. But there is an answer to the problem of sin. The question is do you want to know the answer? If so email me, I'm a sinner but thankfully I know where to get the cure from.

a million. Lust isn't sturdy because that is wanting a lady/ guy for sexual motives truly and is disrespectful of human beings. 2. Gluttony is eating excessively and obviously which could have very risky consequences on your well being. 3. Greed is faulty because that is wanting more advantageous than you want. that is okay to pick issues yet once you're not in any respect chuffed then how satisfied will you ever particularly be? 4. Sloth, being lazy is of route no longer a good looking trait. 5. Wrath is more advantageous than anger, that isn't any longer a sin to be offended. that is a vengeful anger that does tremendous damage to those round you. 6. Envy is faulty because it fills you with hatred for someone purely because they have something that you do not. 7. delight, this does no longer recommend you could't be prideful of the belongings you try this signifies that you mustn't be conceited, declaring to the global of the flaws that you've done and appearing like it makes you more advantageous effective than some different person.

I'm not aware of what the 7 deadly sins are, I've heard of the 10 commandments. All sins are perversions of things that are good, done in excess or improperly. You can eat but gluttony is a sin. You can speak, but lying is a sin. 80% of all medications are an alcohol base, but drunkenness is a sin. Sex is OK but outside of marriage it is a sin. etc.

Not only is it unlikely that you can avoid the seven deadly sins, but your own personal self excels as a result of giving into these "sins".

Envy can cause you to strive for a better position in life.
Lust can lead to procreation, as well as exercising your natural instincts.
Vainglory can cause you to work harder and take pride in your work.
Wrath can persuade people to cease harming you.

When taken to extremes, these "sins" are indeed harmful. Giving into too much wrath can be dangerous to yourself and to others. And very little positive value can come from avarice, sloth, and gluttony, though one may argue that many animals give into gluttony in order to survive long periods without food. Humans don't quite work that way.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with these sins, here they are, from God's Word, the Bible:

Proverbs 6:16 These six things the LORD hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

Sadly, it is impossible for an unsaved person to avoid (and be pardoned for) commiting these (or any other) sins. Even worse is the fact that unsaved people commit what Jesus refers to as the "unpardonable sin:" unbelief in God. You cannot be pardoned of unbelief, since belief is what provides you with the pardon!

If you're honestly concerned with being "right with God," speak with a Christian friend about his or her faith; read what you can on reputable Christian web sites; read the Bible and pray to God to help you with your unbelief.

Peace and God's love.

the current seven dedly sins are not the only seven dedly sins, other things have been on and off the list at various times, including i believe, usury (the charging of intrest on loans).

the point being, you are probably best to find your own way of behaving ethicaly, since religions can only provide a "best fit" morality being products of a particular time and place.

Yes, but I think you have to go through them first so as you can avoid them next time round. A mistakes only worth making if you learn from it.

No, they aren't only bad in excess. Sin is sin. Sin is bad. Sin is wrong. Period. No in between whatsoever.

But you can repent of your sins and vow with God's help not to commit them again.

Check out Phil. 4:13 and then you can answer your own question. It says that we can do ALL things through Christ, who gives me strength. So who do you think has more power, God or Satan? If you believe God has more power, you can do anything with His help. If you think Satan is more powerful, then you better watch out as there is no hope and nobody will be able to make it.

According to the Bible, all sins can be repented of if you say you are sorry (and mean it) so avoiding them completely isn't necessary, just realising that you've done wrong.
