Anyone can buy a cat and a fish from a cat breeder, an aquarium or a pet shop.
I'd be really surprised if you could get them to be good friends though. Most cats just want to eat fish, and fish don't have much of a brain span so aren't really capable of forming meaningful relationships with people or other animals.
Why not get the best of both worlds and buy a catfish?

Purchasing a cat and a fish will be relatively easy. It's best to get your cat from a rescue centre, however, a fish can be purchased from any aquarium or pet store.
I'm fascinated to know how you imagine they'll become best friends though..... Cat's tend to like fish but not in a friendly way.
I'm not sure how meaningful their realtionship is going to be through the side of a glass bowl. Besides, if it's true about the memory length of a fish, he won't remember the cat long enough to form any bond other than fear !!!

Why not save your money? Just get a drawing of a cat and a fish sitting together.

try Petsmart or any pet store would do. my cat has a pet fish. they are good friends. but i adopted my cat from a friend and bought the fish at wal-mart.

YOU SHOULD GET A CAT AT THE HUMANE SHELTER, YOU WOULD BE SAVING A LIFE AND GETTING A PET AT THE SAME TIME, YOU COULD GET FISH AT A PET STORE.

look for a free cat in the paper and go to wal mart for your fish

my cat has no problems with my fish, it has no interest in it because the tank is kept rather high and the cat can't access it.

Pet store seems about right. But make sure you get something exotic like a piranha. Your game will be much more fun that way.
