2 weeks ago I met a girl in my town in a chatroom and we met and went out a couple of time - i told her she was pretty and everything i was just not interested in a relationship - then she flipped out now she keeps calling my phone 30 times a day leaving phsyco voicemails --- its been going on for 2 weeks and things are getting worse and scarier - does anybody have experience with something like this ? or a good way to handle it??

None of us like being rejected, but sounds like she is immature and has some major self-esteem issues. Two weeks is not long enough to have developed a deep relationship where she should be that upset. Call her back and tell her once and for all, you are sorry if you have hurt her or mislead her in any way, and yeah, she is pretty and everything, but you are not interested in having a relationship with her and she needs to stop calling you as there are plenty of other guys that would love to go out with her and you hate to see her waste her time. Wish her the best of luck in finding the right fella but hey, it is not you. Tell her goodbye and hang up. That way you have done the honorable thing and telling her straight up in a manner that tries to preserve her dignity without compromising your position.
After that, block her phone number and e-mail address or change both and avoid like the plague anyplace or any chatroom that you might run into her. You can go to the police to get a restraining order as stalking is illegal, but it could only escalate things. I had a neighbor where her ex would sit on the street for 12 hours or more at a time in his truck looking like he was going to go postal at just the required distance where she could bust him for violating the restraining order. I didn't find this out until after I filed a police report because the creep was hanging out in front of MY HOUSE and it gave me the creeps and I called to the cops as I knew he didn't live on our street and was worried he was a perv child molester. The stalker was picked up but all it did was just make him drive around near where she lived but a bit farther out.
If she is an attention junkie, if she doesn't get any attention from you, she will go looking for it elsewhere and as soon as she finds another guy to attach herself too, she will forget all about you.

Did you tell her that after you slept with her? That would not have been the smartest and could make it 10X more difficult. I'm shocked could possibly handle 30 phone calls a day for 2 weeks w/ crazy voicemails. Since she has been doing it for this long I don't even know if you should address her. Maybe give her a warning that if she does not stop you will have to take legal measures to make her stop.

I am dealing with it right now with a guy who I used to be roommates with. The police told me harassment is hard to prove. My advice is to save the voice mails. Do not answer the phone let them go into voice mail and save them. If she is threatening you take the voice mails and file charges ask for a temporary restraining order and then have a hearing held to get a permanent restraining order. Good luck.

First of all, you need to change you phone number. And maybe your street address too if she knows where you live. If she still is stalking you just go ahead and let the police handle things. That is the best conclusion I can come up with.

Wow that's creepy. I agree you should collect all the evidence you can and then go to the police. Don't answer any of her calls...turn off your voicemail if you have to. After you report her anyway. The police should probably have some suggestions for you. Keep your doors locked if she knows where you live. >.>

Play back her messages back on her machine and maybe she will realize how stupid she sounds and she'll stop. It's like showing a vampire a mirror.
